Looks unstoppable for now. Can only assume large institutional order being filled. Totally irrational otherwise in the absence of an RNS warranting such increase.

People are calling the bottom on miners etc

Debt is still an issue but companies have been putting their houses in order.

Thats my opinion in any case.

I'm long term average nearer a 5vr,so a bit pain to deal with still.i sold 2k at a loss and purchased 10k Bnk at 50p(up12% last ngt on tsx, but hasn't moved today)

Well I bought some this morning, notwithstanding the spike, as I think it has further to run in the short term. Longer term, it's down at its all time lows - below 2008- and has made what looks to be like a confirmed bottom, between Jan and Feb. I realise there are debt concerns, and we're not our of the woods, etc, but seemed too interesting to resist.. It's also a long term play on India, of course.

Thought there were some fiscal goodies included in todays Indian budget. The gold mine news would not, on its own, have led to 9%. Onwards and upwards, £3 very soon hopefully.
