Firstly it was RBS telling us to sell all our shares. Now STAN is telling us that oil will hit $75.
Considering the mess that both banks got themselves into, their crystal balls are fractured - or are they?

VED struggling in the afternoon trading - this has become a regular thing, my guess is there is a US fund selling/shorting the stock.

With Zinc +3.75% at the moment, I expect VED to have a pop higher in the morning when the US seller isn't in the market.

Oil/Copper rallying also helps of course.

They are paying down debt but the Cairn merger could potentially reduce debt further, main reason for the merger l guess. But who knows.

Had a look at these a while back but it is pretty clear that their debt load is unsustainable with current commodity/oil prices.
At some point I guess they will have to go for a rights issue.
