15/2/2012 19:44 | Just getting there cash should see a surge! Been waiting so long! Then Uganda will be derisked somewhat and museavi can stuff the chinese/french? | niceyman1
15/2/2012 19:18 | They're still in Uganda, Hec, but have now got CNOOC and Total to hold their hand, as equal partners. TLW due to receive $2.9bln any day now for the consideration. The big opportunity for an share price surge now seems to be off S America with the Zaedyus field | eipgam
15/2/2012 18:38 | Welcome back Hectorp, I remember your insightful comments from last time around. | tomgorham12
15/2/2012 18:19 | I should have held onto TLW 2 years ago ( 800 and 1000p levels) but needed money for elsewhere. ( That elsewhere was XEL , then 56p). TLW is doing well now. Phillis reminded me. I lost much interest after they left Uganda, assuming they have left it! On watch, should GKP come good I may buy some TLW if not too dear by then! | hectorp
15/2/2012 11:08 | eipgam, keeping my eye on Heritage. I can see it is a channel, but it looks like it has moved above one line of resistance. If it gets over 205 - 210 then maybe worst is over? (probably a new jet I hear you say)! | 85gary
15/2/2012 10:59 | thanks for that eipgam. Only the first step though and could go either way depending on next RNS, but a positive today for sure. I'm thinking that Likonde-1 high pressure gas influx at the end of the drill has a part to play in this. It was downdip of this current well, so possibility that the two are connected either at this current level or deeper (wells 14km ish apart). If it does result in a commercial onshore gas find I think there will be a lot more interest. Cove / Anadarko offshore at many times the drilling cost are doing so well, to mention but two. Plus Far East bought in at 5p recently. I'm thinking Tullow have more than enough oil prospects elsewhere, so no interest in gas, but all imo, dyor etc., | 85gary
15/2/2012 10:42 | good call Gary. Well done. | eipgam
14/2/2012 07:49 | No Tullow interest in this one, but close to jaguar and zaedyus. | 85gary
14/2/2012 07:35 | china announced they've given cnooc the go ahead to sign the deal | mpclag
13/2/2012 19:32 | Topped up today! News on completion must surely come in the next few days? $2.9 billion in the bank , got to be worth £2-£3 on the current share price? | niceyman1
13/2/2012 16:58 | Thanks... I saw him a few weeks ago (in fact the day before VSA topped the gainers list) but this seems to be a new one. edit... I have c&p a GKP specific piece to over there. Thanks. | eipgam
13/2/2012 14:12 | eipgam, just to cheer you up after the footie at the weekend;-) Runs for 30mins or so and starts off simplistic, but I like this guy. Seen him on various programmes over the last six months and he has a knack for explaining things simply. Some of the smaller names of interest in the oil & gas exploration companies towards the end. | 85gary
10/2/2012 16:12 | I just read a lot and take a view eipgam. Usually the wrong one! | 85gary
10/2/2012 15:44 | you sound a bit cleverer than me when it comes to analysing e&p shares... so I would be interested in your thoughts. AEX up 10% already! | eipgam
10/2/2012 15:22 | eipgam, my logic is Tullow do not want gas which is why they gave up operatorship and decreased holding previously. Now shot calibration has taken place Aminex are better informed to predict a possible gas layer deeper. (Similar to that found at Likonde), but Tullow don't want gas and as they are unlikely to find oil deeper imo they have elected to cut their loss and play no more part in this well. I'm thinking there is a better chance now of finding gas at this deeper level having calibrated drill against 2d as everything appears a bit deeper than originally expected, especially as they already had gas shows higher. As CNF says on Aminex site, still a risk and any find needs to be sealed and commercial, preferably filled to spill, but he who dares etc., One week result. Not suggesting others do anything. I'll have a read of PPC,XTR and VPP. Not known to me, but always interested in reading more. thanks | 85gary
10/2/2012 15:05 | Gary... not sure I would bet against TLWs instincts there... I'm also in PPC who have had a very up and down time in the last year but Peter Levine is now in charge and has bought some acreage in Argentina that may come good... and XTR... and VPP was good until the govt raised the NSea tax... but seems to me to be undervalued. Not that ANYONE should follow my buys. DYOR etc etc. | eipgam
10/2/2012 14:41 | I see Tullow not electing to go further on Ntorya well. I'm guessing Aminex think there is gas lower. Might be worth a 3p gamble. | 85gary

10/2/2012 13:41 | Nice one wodahsnoom. I note one of the reasons given for the renewed urgency, is after his discussion with Chinese to say alternative energy inevitable in 20 years, so don't delay development and exploration of this particular resource. With his own refinery on day one he is independent of others. Refreshing way he presents the information. I'm not suggesting this is the only side to the story by any means, but you can sort of see where he is coming from. He is also sort of saying contracts ahead being refined to incorporate past mistakes, but does not really address the implications of having changed CGT midstream. No doubt a lot more to come, but my initial take is a positive message, i.e. Get on with it Tullow and UG don't interfere in what has gone on in the past, look to influencing the future. | 85gary
10/2/2012 13:25 | Or Eric Cantona? | wodahsnoom |
