Shorts are healthy to provide insurance for bulls. Look at the gearing levels of Tullow to understand the need. De-gearing will be extremely healthy for the share price. A significant farm out of Kenya at the appropriate time would help....a lot.

Short interest has decreased in the last few days interesting a double top on the short interest chart at around 16%. I think we could see a significant squeeze here now and Odey must be under pressure to reverse his thinking.

G Sachs analysis seems significantly pessimistic. The cash cost out or the ground is $15 and there are potentially 110000 bopd net to the group....from memory. Granted maybe not full production in 2017 (some downtime at TEN has already been announced) so guidance will be interesting.

Net debt was projected at $4.9b for the end of December but would be great to see a small de-leverage. Roll on the 11th January and I note the share price rose in at least the last four January months.
