gearing in its own KPIS column for 2016 was 5.1 X, too much risk here IMO. it is spending a massive amount IMO just to stand still...DYOR

IMO this has been marked down because of debt and another loss making year, providers will only go on so long IMO capex albeit halved YOY is still high.....DYOR but I'm going to wait and see where market takes this before deciding, I sense lower....gla

Actually buried in there was a possible extension to the drilling at Kenya and that might have disappointed those who wished for an early sale of Kenya. Its good news really as Kenya gets more and more interesting.

Have a feeling US government oil reserves being released into the market and delaying oil price increases. Tick tock.

Yes i don't like debt levels but watch for a farm down of Kenya after the drills are done for very big cash leaving this awash with significant cash generation and lots of dividends to pay.

Going forward more oil at a higher oil price, less capex, the debt can be paid down.

Plenty of headroom check and huge short positions to unwind!

-- Year-end 2016 net debt of $4.8 billion with significant facility headroom and free cash of $1.0 billion. During the year, $300 million of convertible bonds issued; Corporate Facility extended to April 2018; $345 million RBL accordion secured.

-- On 7 February 2017 the Corporate Facility was extended by a further year to April 2019.
-- 2016 capex of $0.9 billion; 2017 capex forecast of $0.5 billion including $125 million to be offset by Uganda farm-down deal.

-- West Africa net working interest oil production, including production-equivalent insurance payments, averaged 65,500 bopd in 2016 and in 2017 is expected to average between 78,000 and 85,000 bopd.
