I think we should be looking forward to a blue week after a good start. I'm wondering if it will be more steady than recent rises, which is no bad thing. AIM stocks can get a bit lanky too quickly and when the resistance starts to appear people bail and it all comes crumbling down. What we've had is a strong rise, then a fairly well executed placing that levelled off the share price briefly. I imagine most, if not all, weak or nervous holders will have moved on now and we can get on with nice measured rises until we get the news that sends it shooting up again. GLA!

Vodacom, in partnership with Microsoft, has announced that it will be launching Microsoft Azure solutions – available to customers in June.

According to Fatima Hassim, managing executive for Products and Services at Vodacom Business, Microsoft Azure enables developers and IT professionals to create, manage and deploy applications through Microsoft’s global network of data centres. These can be anything from simple mobile apps to internet-scale products.

“The platform enables businesses to build anything from simple mobile apps through to internet-scale solutions,” said Hassim. “Vodacom’s offering of Microsoft Azure will allow businesses the ability to provide enterprise-proven hybrid cloud solutions, and offer customers access to professional services that will be readily available to provide the best approach and solutions on the platform to allow customers to maximise efficiencies.”

Tern swings to FY pre-tax profit as investment value soars

(ShareCast News) - Shares in Tern are up more than 6% as it swung to an annual pre-tax profit in 2016 -- helped by a handsome uptick in the fair value of investments -- in what it described as a "pivotal" year.

Pre-tax profit was £5.3m, from a loss of £185,121. Tern also recorded a £5.8m rise in the fair value of its investments, from 363,492. Net assets were £11.2m, from £1.7m.

Chairman Al Sisto said the 12 months to 31 December, 2016, were pivotal for Tern.

It had reached several key business milestones and undergone significant, positive change.

It entered 2017 As a result, we enter the new year with a sharpened investment focus and a management team that has been realigned to play to its strengths.

"Going forwards, we see a great deal of growth potential in our flagship investment, Device Authority, as well as the wider Internet of Things ecosystem," said Sisto in a statement.

He anticipated reporting progress on both fronts in the coming months.

At 11:16 GMT, shares in AIM-quoted Tern were up 6.58% to 10.12p each.
