If you hold your shares in certificate you can sell them at say T+20 and buy them back as the price drops- which it does here often.You then have a bigger pot than before- rinse , dry and repeat.There is NO need to borrow shares.
That is shorting for the little guy.

Take a look at the price graph and you can clearly see the opportunities this dog has to short- oh and its called " making money".

Shorters borrow shares to buy money in the hope that the share price will fall.

Others buy shares on margin in the hope that the share price will rise.

Both are taking a (risky) leveraged position with the aim of magnifying their returns but could end up magnifying their losses. Selling short is no more wicked than buying on margin.

What is 'wicked' is talking a share up (or down) with lies and bluster, seeking to fool other, more naiive, investors into jumping on board, and--worst of all--trading against them for personal gain.

People who sell then buy back at a cheaper price are in fact shorting, that is exactly
what it is about, anyone can do it , and if you look at the trades many are.It is extremely easy to do with a share with the volatility of this one , daily rise to fall %`s of over 50% are not uncommon.

They may not be shorters in official LSE language, but `de facto` they are precisely that,but not ` de jure`.

I think even the mugs are getting bored with the constant repetition of old irrelevant news via RNS `s, the share price today reveals just that.

The Muppettes will be howling with rage now blaming mm`s, tree shakes, shorters etc etc,odd how they post 24/7 yet allege they are long term holders?
