LOL

TURKEY TROUBLE?!

BAKED BEANS ON STANDBY!

:-| :-/

What about other possible scenarios:

A. Bob forgot to bring his spectacles to the contract signing.

B. Bob forgot to get the contract double checked.

C. Bob got the wrong train and missed contract signing.

D. Bob forgot to get Bahar to sign the contract.

E. Bob lost the contract post signing.

I think he saw a challenge here. If successful he could carve his name in the annals of Southampton Poly alongside great names like... Bob Foster

Agreed the old BOD were profligate and burnt through shareholders' and Stratex cash a disgrace.
Somehow I don't get the idea that Marcus with his good financial and mining record would take the job of Stratex CEO if he had not done his research and seen opportunity that enhanced his career rather than a dead end ?

How about
G) Contract with Bahar is full of holes , one of which allows Bahar to avoid giving us any money

Marcus's suggestion that Altintepe has cost STI £1.5m is risible, the board has run through £20m plus of shareholder's funds. STI has on Marcus's admission only Altintepe and Delafin (Fare)to show for this money (along with directors' swollen wallets) along with a few minority stakes. If these are not duds, then these stakes will be diluted down to royalties.
Still he's made a good start by giving CH a suitcase and bike for Christmas
Let's see what he do to clarify production at Altintepe, schedule of payments, mine extension and allocation of resulting resources...

How about F) We are on the cusp of a huge deal for shareholders and it would be totally misleading to issue a run of the mill production update

What about:

E) We regularly update our institutional shareholders about production figures. However private investors are not important to us and the more information you give them the more they moan and send us emails so the best thing is to do is to just give encouraging words at the occasional PI presentation in London but without any real detail which might annoy the institutional shareholders.

But I don't think this is true, just my own personal nightmare scenario.

Being up a blind alley, let's conject why there has been no update
A) production and remuneration are beyond expectations and costs have dropped.
B) Nothing has changed, so why bother
C) production rates have dropped and we can't be sure when any funds will reach these shores, but we will make the 30k Oz's pet annum.
D) We don't know what is going on.

Yeah, thanks in advance Jim. I just wish the company could confirm progress via RNS. You could be forgiven for thinking an update for the third quarter isn't coming. That raises peoples doubts

I'd bet the problem has been our end, Bahar asking for information, discussion or agreement on certain matters and not being able to get hold of anyone because they are all down the golf course or in the pub.

Shoggoth - you have your knickers in a twist and you are completely wrong. I spoke to Marcus yesterday at mines and money and post something more detailed later today or tomorrow. Juju's mismanagement by Bob and co is nearer the mark but there is no problem with the relationship in Turkey.

Our inability to get any money from the gold produced , after a year , is an utter disgrace and a reflection of the mis management by Bob and co . that I have railed about for years > Whether or not Englebrecht can fix this mess remains to be seen . His statement on the matter doesnt fill me with confidence

Shoggy my unhappy little friend, the operator is a joint venture. You really should take what's left of your 7p a share investment and put it into something steady and reliable that pays a dividend. You'll be a lot happier!!So will we :-)

It is blindingly obvious that the relationship in Turkey is troubled. I hope we have some leverage, but to be honest I don't think there's much. It's the other side of Europe and we are not the operator.

The old Geo pals have gone. Christopher Hall and Bob Foster and no doubt there will be more changes as Marcus fully grasps the reins of Stratex. He exudes confidence and used the magic words 'shareholder value'
Stratex was mismanaged I am hopeful that it is no longer.
Marcus is focused on Altintepe cash flow.
Looking closely at Dalafin, GRL and Thani
Stratex. Good luck to him.

Hm. What I make of it is a troubled relationship in Turkey. And "We expect some cash flow out of our Turkey investments in the new year". Some? Doesn't sound like much. When in the new year? Early? Late?
