29/9/2016 11:22 | sawadee great hindsight trading go back and read your posts Do you still do the one where you buy and sell at a time of the month? | arab3
29/9/2016 11:17 | I've been negative be before Jeffian, check back :-) This is a BUY right now. I'll be proven correct :-) 2.00 -2.12 this week ( for later reference ) Up to you what you do fella :-) | sawadee3
29/9/2016 11:06 | It's just that you don't actually flag up your sells here, it's just 'buy, buy, buy' all the way down from 350! I'm sure you've traded the peaks and troughs; all avatars on the freebb are genius traders. Apparently. ;-) | jeffian
29/9/2016 10:46 | It's called buying and selling. Now there's a novelty! We're all free to do either at the click of a button :-) SGC is a BUY right now and should be part of anyone's income portfolio, if you believe the future of public transport that is :-) | sawadee3
29/9/2016 10:40 | how can you be up on the income when you were buying at over 3 quid ? | arab3
29/9/2016 10:31 | There's going to be a lot of happy income seekers who are taking advantage of this weeks bargain share price over the years to come :-) Guaranteed! Happy days chaps :-) | sawadee3
29/9/2016 09:43 | Fez - if taken private, in what kind of range would you estimate the offer price to be? Rising oil price (for now) should help demand for public transport. | m4rtinu
28/9/2016 21:25 | Souter and Gloag have a controlling interest here (majority shareholding)and could take this private again if needs be. They are certainly going to be looking after their investment(s). Should be interesting to watch developments! | fez77
28/9/2016 10:34 | jeffian, i've sold and bought back in since then. Don't you worry about my strategy :-) Mortimer, as i can't access money in my SIPP till i'm 55, my divi payments will be re-invested, so i don't mind a lower share price :-) My long-term outlook is extremely positive for public transport, happy to hold forever :-) | sawadee3
28/9/2016 10:13 | #1692, With all these "buying opportunities" you've been flagging up, you must be making a fortune....... ;-) Sawadee33 Nov '15 - 09:27 - 1623 of 1693 0 0 I'm just happy that i loaded up + re-invested my dividend in Sir Brians quality company. Unshakeable faith :-) | jeffian
28/9/2016 10:05 | Agreed Sawadee: current divi payable next week I believe, 7.9pps (3.75% yield on current SP). Although I would be far happier if the share price could just recover about 10%. It was around 257p on the days leading up to the EU referendum, so I think around 230p is reasonable for now. | mortimer7
28/9/2016 09:59 | Mark-down provided another buying opportunity :-) Buying more SGC shares is simply giving yourself a yearly income increase :-) Happy days chaps :-) | sawadee3
28/9/2016 08:55 | Trading statement seemed to cause initial fall today. Mainly says "Our expectation of the Group's adjusted earnings per share for the year ending 29 April 2017 has not changed from when we announced our full year results in June 2016. We note, however, that independent macro-economic forecasts cover a wide range of possible outcomes and therefore, there is a higher than usual degree of forecasting uncertainty" Most sectors showed small % falls in revenue in the FY to date (20th Aug). | m4rtinu
23/9/2016 17:04 | Does the share price price in adequately the ECML overpayment problems and possible loss of in particular the SWT? Just wish I knew the answer to that question! | bscuit
22/9/2016 11:15 | Deutsche Bank stated a price target of 250p in a research report issued to clients and investors on Wednesday 21st Sept, 16% potential upside from current price. The firm presently has a “buy” rating on the stock. Other recent targets: Barclays 255p (Equal weight) July. Canaccord Genuity 237p (hold). Royal Bank Of Canada 240p and set a “sector performer” September 1st. JP Morgan Chase & Co. 256p (neutral)(May) Goldman Sachs Group Inc. 280p (neutral) Monday, June 27th. Stagecoach Group plc has an average rating of “Hold” and a consensus price target of GBX 278.62 ($3.64) | mortimer7
01/9/2016 11:17 | Morti - I think, if it's a 1st/3rd qtr update, some companies have (been allowed to?) dispensed with these. | m4rtinu
30/8/2016 15:50 | Last 2 years there's been a trading update on 26th August, but nothing this year (yet). Anyone have an opinion why this might be please? | mortimer7
23/8/2016 15:57 | Just in today and hoping for a quick recovery. Haven't held these for a good many years and from memory last time wasn't exactly a success. Hoping for better this time round but I can't help feeling this is rather oversold at this price for a good solid company. | warranty
05/8/2016 20:32 | The facts at the top of this thread need correcting - ex div 02/09/16 not 02/10/16. | uknighted
05/8/2016 08:53 | Not many trading days left till ex-divi. Market reacting as expected. Happy days chaps :-) | sawadee3
04/8/2016 20:34 | I think the South-west Trains new bid submission outcome is holding the price back the ECML overpayment isn't helping. | bscuit
04/8/2016 13:02 | Interest rate cut having a rather nice effect on the 'ol portfolio! Only 4 weeks left to grab SGC shares on the cheap :-) | sawadee3
04/8/2016 08:27 | "Stagecoach - may be worth jumping on board" Definitely :-) A bit disappointed the market didn't throw this down harder but, never the less, i've been quietly buying back all my shares cheaper at my leisure :-) Healthy yield and SGC will play an important part of my income portfolio. Happy days chaps :-) | sawadee3
03/8/2016 11:55 | The Board has proposed a final dividend of 7.9p per ordinary share payable on 5 October 2016 to shareholders on the register at 2 September 2016. | neilyb675 |
