05/7/2017 20:12 | Broker reiterates: Outperform: Old - 220p New - 225p RBC Cap Mkts To be honest, brokers vary quite a bit on this share. JP Morgan has a very different view. | m4rtinu
05/7/2017 15:45 | m4rtinu - The good news you brought yesterday has its effect on the share price today. Well done!K C | kcsham
04/7/2017 12:33 | m4rtinu - £2.5m it is over 2% of the pretax profit of last year, can't be bad at all.K C | kcsham
04/7/2017 09:21 | In the article, it is £2.5m, just for clarity. | m4rtinu
04/7/2017 00:44 | m4rtinu - Thanks for your information. Every bit helps when the share price is so low.K C | kcsham
03/7/2017 20:57 | "A DfT spokesman said it would make a decision “in due course”. The delay [W Midlands franchise] comes as reports surfaced of possible plans by ministers to pay train companies if the revenue they are making from their services is significantly below what was forecast." This might help SGC with regard to loss making East Coast jt venture. As referred to in recent results. | m4rtinu
30/6/2017 14:50 | SGC buying back shares. Only a small % but interesting. | m4rtinu
29/6/2017 09:26 | Keep your eyes on the shorts! 1.79% at present, so very low (excl positions <0.5%). If this % start rising I would worry. | m4rtinu
28/6/2017 15:49 | shawzie, That comment was specifically about the Virgin Trains East Coast route, not the business as a whole. They have made a provision of £84m in this year's accounts to provide for the expected losses (hence the difference between 'adjusted' eps at 24.4p and statutory eps of 5.5p). | jeffian
28/6/2017 15:32 | "Business expected to be profitable from 2019" I suggest that such a statement means 3 years of losses. Dividend may be cut or suspended, but if not would have to be paid from current cash or further borrowings. Stagecoach does have the Cash, but? | shawzie
28/6/2017 12:17 | It's been quite a few years since I've been in Stagecoach but my attention was caught by the headlines "A Seven Year Low".That's not expected headlines for this top class team. Is this a buying opportunity or has something seriously derailed the business? | nod
28/6/2017 11:47 | Hi m4rtinu, Honestly? I'm totally unconcerned, just back from a great session at the Gym :-) Really chuffed i can add more at these prices. I love market over reaction. If the divi gets chopped then i would review of course :-) I wouldn't be at all surprised if these are back above £2 next week :-) Public Transport will be in demand forever :-) | sawadee3
28/6/2017 11:22 | Value trap. Divis are a financial way out for Gloag/Souter as share sales of shares acquired by them at prices far below current levels would trash the price even more and thus most of their shares are in effect unsellable. Franchise outcomes awaited and I think anymore losses will push the price down more. | bscuit
28/6/2017 10:59 | Both messages above paint a real picture about our society, but life goes on regardless. We have to bear with it unfortunately.K C | kcsham
28/6/2017 10:55 | A good example of a company on 'debt' row. Wear and tear funded by cheap money with a divi policy to keep folk interested but does it make sense? | fabius1
28/6/2017 10:39 | Not a lot going for this co., potholes in the roads delaying bus journey's, terrorism in the cities scaring travellers on trains, and overpaying for the North/East mainline franchise putting the brakes on here, yet the dividend goes up, Souter and Gloag seeing a handy payout, but being hammered on the share price! Is this a value play or a value trap? | bookbroker
28/6/2017 10:37 | People are up to eyes in debt but would rather take out pcp to get a new car than travel on a bus. This will all come home to roost at some point when the I need everything today brigade realise all this debt is adding up and cant pay. | celeritas
28/6/2017 09:57 | Order filled, not the lowest price but it is okay!K C | kcsham

28/6/2017 08:26 | Saw - what do you think of results? | m4rtinu
28/6/2017 08:24 | A very welcome drop. Thank you Mr Market for the cheap 'uns :-) Very happy to add to my holdings :-) | sawadee3
28/6/2017 07:59 | Results pretty much as previewed. Short-term seems very challenging. | m4rtinu
27/6/2017 20:17 | Previewing tomorrow's results: 'As far as transport operator Stagecoach is concerned, UBS does not expect any material changes in the revenue trends highlighted with the March trading update. "As a reminder, to 4th March (44 weeks) the company reported like-for-like revenue growth of -1.7% for Regional Bus, -0.9% for London Bus, +1.6% for Rail, -2.2% in North America and +5.3% for Virgin Rail. "Management had previously reported some challenges during the year, such as with volume growth in UK Regional Bus and in Rail. We think the main interest for investors will likely centre on the outlook for Regional Bus revenues in the coming fiscal year, as well as a confirmation (or not) on the dividend policy which at this moment in time we consider a key support for the stock." The bank has pencilled in FY17 revenue of £4.13bn, operating profit of £205m, pre-tax profit of £170m, EPS of 24.5p and DPS of 12.0p.' | m4rtinu
27/6/2017 09:50 | Interesting article on possible effects of GE on Public Transport: | m4rtinu |
