Let's say it is Lynchwood client Emmef 150m bought at 3.75p, sold at 0.75p. Rack up a 4.5 million quid loss on the nominee ac. no 1
Transfer the whole lot over to a different No. 2 ac by buying the 150m back at 0.7p. Wait for 3.7p and hey ho we have recovered our £4.5m.

No point surely, as the gain is zero.

However, Ac 1 now has a 2016-17 £4.5m loss to set against tax. Cute little offsetting arrangement. Emmef is one of Corvus' subsidiaries, quel surpris


Famous Example

In 2016, leading into the presidential vote the New York Times released Donald Trump's 1995 tax return. Bit strange i just tried a dummy sell for a few grands worth and the mm's still don't want shares so lets not get too carried away folks could be another false dawn. as for the 1 share buy i have seen that theory wrong more times then right. even so fingers crossed 6% is still a good rise so far
