29/7/2015 10:16 | That's because this is supposed to be the positivity thread. There's another thread for negativity, and Granitetim could probably do with some company, lol. | ropot
29/7/2015 09:34 | Problem is any negativity gets shot down and positivity gets praised yet not one thing said by anybody on this bb has happened, will this be walked down to 0.5p for the next share issue as some have suggested? If so that would be time to buy more if you have any money left to punt in here/average your losses down. Aston Martin has been turned into a return bus pass to Peckham let's hope this turns around as people say before the year end. | topgun1000
29/7/2015 09:32 | Usually it's when those "in the know" types want us buying their shares during an offload, so they can buy back cheaper at a later date... | ropot
29/7/2015 09:18 | I'm disappointed - not one of the usual suspects has already posted that "the share price is just being walked down, manipulated by those in the know, so that some big order can be filled. Come on guys, you're usually quicker off the mark than this. | alan@bj
29/7/2015 08:53 | I was reading up on Salamander yesterday (e.g. Salamander PDF presentation on Ophir website), to try and ascertain how big their assets were in relation to the price that Ophir paid. But it all got a bit confusing with percentages of resources owned, also different measurements for oil and gas (i.e. X barrels of oil + X cubic feet of gas), plus taking into consideration that oil prices were higher last year. I finally gave up trying to make a comparison since we don't yet actually know what SRSP officially have to compare with! | ropot
29/7/2015 08:48 | ..'Four years later' ...we appear to have done very little ! | solarno lopez
29/7/2015 08:41 | I found this item curiously interesting with possible SRSP parallels...in that when OPHIR originally floated...they pulled in an ex Salamander man.... and here srsp have pulled in ex Ophir men.(Ophir went on to take over Salamander four years later) (20p and I for 10 looks tempting and 'do-able' a couple of years down the line) | htrocka2
29/7/2015 08:39 | Bron. It was good meeting you yesterday. Is it time to order that Aston?. Have a good day. Peter. | antenna2
28/7/2015 17:09 | I think your average 13 year old may harbour a smidgen more class. | jenny tulwought
28/7/2015 16:09 | Based on method and style of posting, I would suggest D.Jatt is Mose and B.Williamson is HG. | cornishtrader1000
28/7/2015 13:01 | David Jatt no doubt its that rich 80 fella got the humour of a 13 year old boy going through puberty! | bill williamson
28/7/2015 12:56 | Cammy3, there's a fair amount of warrants and options mentioned in the AGM notice that are waiting for 2p at least. Of course, 50p would be wonderful, but I'm generally quite wary of some of these massive numbers being bandied about. And also as mentioned previously, a further share grab by insiders could be to offset against accepting a lower offer than originally envisaged in today's market conditions. Out of all the share price predictions made on this board, an offer by Ophir of 20p cash and a 1 for 10 share swap would make me happy (and compensate for all the suffering, lol), with the intention of keeping the Ophir shares for longer and hoping they go up further in value. If we're going to end up with around 2.5bn shares in issue, then every 1p would equate to £25m Mcap. Even 20p would be £500m, so I presume we would need to consider how much a potential suitor would reasonably be willing to pay relative to the size of their company and how much they can afford. So throwing some of their shares into the bundle at least wouldn't involve stumping up further cash to that value. Mind you, Ophir did sell 20% of their Tanzania blocks last year for over $1bn (albeit the oil price was higher back then). Does anyone have any views as to whether they are likely to offload any more if they need to raise more money if they want our Nigerian assets (whatever they might be!)? "The proceeds from this transaction will support our forward plans which includes investing in a number of new opportunities that are under consideration and have transformational growth potential." All that's assuming we're not being lead up the garden path with all this talk of a potential takeover!! | ropot
28/7/2015 12:40 | thundercatt1... I'd be over the moon with 4p now (having accumulated more further down) | htrocka2
28/7/2015 12:38 | Any share price predictions post AGM | cammy3
28/7/2015 12:26 | Probably about 3 years for me... got some at around 3.5p, and more recently in this year's ISA at these much lower prices. | ropot
28/7/2015 11:19 | 5 years for me now to Rocka it feels more like 10 though! 4p now would be amazing tbf let's wait and see what the agm brings could be a key date to get out the way before we can progress? Keep the faith can't get much worse! | thundercat1
28/7/2015 11:15 | Topgun...I'm into my fifth year now.. and highest price paid was 4p a share. Keep the faith. | htrocka2
28/7/2015 11:12 | David jatt another lunatic, filtered! | topgun1000
28/7/2015 10:58 | The markets generally are taking a pounding due to the unforeseen collapse in the Chinese bourses.. However, all I'm asking is just a bit of good news at the AGM. Confirmation that the target of oil by Easter is still on track...would be enough | htrocka2
27/7/2015 22:53 | That article is talking about the giants (BP, Shell, Chevron) cutting costs for new production projects. They have huge shareholders to appease (pension funds, dividends etc.). Whoever is interested in us will probably still be looking at the development stage with work to be done before ready for production, so any T/O price would be at far lower cost per barrel than if we were much further advanced. Obviously, though, we need to be told officially just how big our resources actually are, rather than basing our discussions on speculation!!! If it is Ophir with money already set aside, ours could ultimately be a major asset for them. Whereas new projects for those majors, size is relative and could only be adding a few % to their existing output, and can be put on the back burner without as much impact. Nigeria also has bigger plans for becoming an oil and gas producer, and presumably will expect to keep those on track, which we are part of. Hopefully Regan and Co. won't be greedy, and could knock a few quid of a sale price if necessary. Maybe that's already expected, hence further dilution to give themselves a bigger share to compensate. Better that, than hang around any longer if they've had enough by now. | ropot
27/7/2015 22:30 | Just read the RNS and it states Joint Venture, possibly with Ophir looking at Havoc and what they have done in the past. That would be nice. | david jatt
27/7/2015 21:16 | Fingers crossed.. | htrocka2
27/7/2015 15:04 | Mac, Don't encourage him. Kind regards, 'The Slot Badger' Got a certain 'ring' to it - don't you think? | jenny tulwought |
