24/7/2015 07:14 | OT There's much excitement midst the Scientific community, following the announcement of a planet (Kepler summat or other) in the constellation of Cygnus (Goddess of smoking), some 1400 light years away (like Bolton). The planet is 60% bigger than Earth, but could be inhabitable (unlike Bolton). Meanwhile, commenting on an article released last week, that intelligent life may have existed in Stourbridge, NASA spokesman, J. Tulwought - eminent professor of quantum ENTANGLEDment, dismissed the notion as "wild conjecture". Morning :0 ) | 801710245

23/7/2015 19:59 | hxxps://www.energyvo Interview with jack pryde Very good read, not sure if been posted before Muhammadu Buhari’s election triumph has sparked “optimism and renewed vigour” in the Nigerian exploration market, according to Sirius Petroleum. “The change in government has brought a new sense of optimism and renewed vigour to tackle corruption. President Buhari is focused on reforming the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, a state company which controls the country’s upstream production through its Joint Venture (“JV”) partnerships with International Oil Companies in order to create a more transparent NNPC. “The current governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (“CBN”) and the Head of Oslo-based Extractive Industries Transparency Initiatives have suggested selling the state oil company’s stakes in the producing joint ventures to address the state’s finances. This asset base could open up huge proven and producing opportunities for indigenous companies in an industry actively promoting local participation. The long awaited Petroleum Industry Bill , which has been in development for a decade under the previous administration, is likely to be passed into law in a relatively short time. This will remove the uncertainty that resulted in billions of dollars of withheld investment. | shez20
23/7/2015 14:09 | As there's no news I thought this might be an interesting related article. President Buhari is about to investigate members of his own party for corruption. One of his top advisors and member of the APC is our good old friend ex state Governor Dr Mimimko, who attempted to transfer the Government owned Owena Oil and Gas Assets into a private entity (Owena Energy) for his own benefit (it's this transfer that tried to scupper and eliminate srsp from the ororo deal, via 'Guarantee's website support, that started the whole Owena debacle). Let's hope that Buhari gets to the bottom of all this......and reclaims Owena back for the State of Nigeria with whom SRSP made the original deal. Ironically, most of the corrupt oil ministry officials salted their cash away in either London or Saudi Arabia....but strangly enough, when Mimko is in trouble , he slides off to the U.S.....from which Buhari, who has asked President Obama to help him track down stolen assets, made the above statement | htrocka2
23/7/2015 12:34 | Htrocka, they have either progressed things since 2013, or they haven't... | ropot

23/7/2015 11:26 | The last rns reminds me of the one issued in 2013...promises were made about three weeks before the AGM to get the resolution passed. They got what they wanted, ie 'All resolutions passed' but did not deliver on what they promised.... There's a high probability that history is about to repeat itself? Jack Pryde, Chairman, said: (2013) “We are aiming to partner with a strategic international oil trading company providing debt facilities to support the acquisition and development of up to three oil assets and in addition, we also aim to provide the platform to raise an additional $100m in new funds via the issue of equity. We believe that this combination of debt and equity will provide an efficient funding package under which we will be able to develop an array of exclusive oil assets through to production (Now, be honest, the above Chairmans statement sounds good and would have no doubt sucked a lot of punters in......but two years later... and still nothing's happened, just more unfulfilled promises .....as some one stated on another thread....'this share is a punt, don't bet the farm'....as they seem to keep coming up with never ending problems after problems after problems.....even the rns states that it could be by the end of this year or by Spring 2016. I translate that as...'we don't actually know therefore cannot confirm consequently we have to cover ourselves'...' Presumably they've got a $500k a day rig signed and contracted , moored up somewhere and waiting to go just in case they decide to move?...I don't think so, | htrocka2
23/7/2015 11:25 | Given the drop in volume again the tight spread on Tues and the round trades, do we think they were transfers or potentially ITK had a tip off of upcoming news | cornishtrader1000
