39k buy looks suspiciously like a directors buy. Needs to be

Directors in at 167p. I'm in for a considerable amount at 131.

Now wait a year until the dust settles

Count me in on that one George. Keep expecting a bounce but it's not coming yet.
Guess the shorters are stuck into this one.

The directors have also took a beating on paper too, one paid 167p for 148k last
week, that's a massive paper loss already.

I'm thinking they might come back for more at this level to support the price ?

This is pretty bad now. Got to be a lot of people sitting on losses!

Old news, but Bloomberg confirms it was their Scottish Glasgow Asset finance office.

Lets hope the Police don't get involved, Shawbrook say, "not at this stage"... or the whole may get bigger.FSA are on the case, which is bad news again for Shaw.

Jackthecat - it's mainly down today because of standard life and aviva freezing redemptions from property funds.

This company is too good to be true. They have more cash then their MC. They are making 4x the cost of interest to them. Sounds absurd!

If they are making all the profits, why do they not share it with their shareholders in the form of dividends?

Is the £9M hole the first warning? Will there be more warnings?

Numis say this

Following better than expected results for 2015 we are upgrading our EPS estimate for this year by 5% to 26.9p from 25.7p. The upgrade would have been more but for adjustments to the number of shares in issue and the group tax charge. As a result of these our EPS estimate for next year falls 2% to 32.0p from 32.7p. Excluding the impact of shares and tax our 2017 estimates would have increased modestly.

So EPS of 26.9p this year and 32.7p next year

PER of 3.5

nice pull back so far, despite the unexpected bad news, which is awful timing by the management, we could still even the share price by the end of the day considering it was already discounted by 30% the day before.

should see some recovery tomorrow considering stateside Dow finished 1% better off than our own FTSE. Expect to see some of those shorts closing so might even see a coiled spring effect. Way oversold and if you consider the bank doesn't depend off the inter-bank money market for funding and the mainstay of it's business is domestic it's de-risked by these factors.
