I could have bed and ISA'd all the SQZ in my fund and share dealing account if H&L had carried out my instruction last Friday, or on Monday, but by the time the share price hit 70p yesterday and they still hadn't done it I decided to cancel it. There are a lot already in the ISA...

I'm thinking of taking my pension early, not to spend but to try to get as much of the money into my ISA as I can.. I've been putting pension contribution money into the ISA anyway for years as the idea of paying tax when I'm retired doesn't excite me much... I've got enough cash to live on for four years so I intend to draw down as much from the SIPP over four years as I can under the new flexible drawdown rules... So maybe it's no bad thing that I haven't used this year's ISA after all.

I was buying all the way down in small batches..mentioned on here how difficult it was to purchase in any volume and i believe the same still applies..look at the volume today..hardly anything but still a big rise. There will be a few big players wanting to invest in Serica as they move through this transitional phase but to build a meaningful position they will have to find sellers which i don't think will happen until nearer 100p..all bodes well :-)

Did it yesterday already thanks steel. The shares at .702 sold and bought at .70375 including dealing fees for the tsf!
Crystallising cgt allowance plus nice transfer in!

fb - you could bed&ISA some of your holding within the current year's cgt allowance crystallising a gain now. The 30 days only relates to bed and breakfast.

FB, mate I've got about 850k and the amount sold over 100% profit so no problems lol! Just wanted to crystallise the tax free element of gain and if I wanted to 're invest in sqz 30 days later I would still be in 'profit' unless it went up over 100 % in which case I'd be very happy with the balance of my investment anyways lol.
Don't take non reply as rudeness, going to be in hospital all day visiting someone very dear to me!

Probably, Dh, I tried to get Hargreaves Lansdown to bed and ISA mine last Friday. After they had done nothing about it for three days - and knowing that the price would shoot up on Tuesday - I cancelled the Bed & ISA.

I'd rather not be out at the moment as you cannot just sell on the 5th and buy back on the 6th to qualify for CGT relief (or so I am told). You cannot buy back for 30 days...

I've not explained that very well....
