13/9/2005 12:48 | Another tick up and still my buy is not showing...very strange. Is this normal with this company anyone know?? | enewman36
13/9/2005 12:04 | If this shoots up like this on no news and no volume, its going to rocket once the news is out and people pile in! | fido
13/9/2005 11:11 | Well I've just joined the party at 11.00, trade not showing yet though. | enewman36
13/9/2005 10:09 | A 10% rise on no volume. Must be more buys in the system. | fido
13/9/2005 08:06 | Ross is in the BLUE and we have only just opened. Roll on the results, lets see what this good news is! | fido
13/9/2005 08:01 | RL - in now ?!? | double6
12/9/2005 21:43 | There you go, the reason for the rise is yet another 100K purchase. These large buys ahead of results are getting just a little too persistant for there to be nothing going on. As well as improved trading and profits at its GEL division there could well be an announcement about the Sansui licence. This large scale buying has been going on for a number of days now, so it could be that the good news has started to leek out. | fido
12/9/2005 17:41 | Up 13% today on low volume. Looks like we could be getting some good news very soon! | fido
11/9/2005 13:51 | Two pieces of news today that may or may not have a bearing on Ross Group. The first relates to the parent group of Ross called The Grande Group. It demonstrates the strengh of the group and its desire to become a global leader in consumer electronics. As I said before Grande have held their stake in Ross for some time. It always looked likely that Ross was being primed for a purpose, the more likely of which was to use Ross in its expansion into the UK and Europe. Anyhow, have a look at the following link as it gives you a good idea as to the strengh of Ross`s backer. The second piece of news relates to BAE picking up a £1.9 billion contract to refit armoured and speciality vehicles returning from war zones. This is a large contract that is spread over some time and may benifit Ross`s specialist vehicle division that may pick up some sub contract work. There was a report the other day saying that niche engineering companies were experiencing good workloads and profits so we may see this reflected at Ross`s GEL engineering division. The share buying of the last few days tend to indicate that maybe there is a genuine improvement in Ross`s trading and like I say, if we get news of a deal finalising the distribution of Sansui products throughout the UK and Europe then this share could increase sharply from its low base. | fido
09/9/2005 13:55 | Its time I done my research on this company because we have yet another large buy. Results are later this month and I cannot help feeling that whoever is doing the buying knows more than most. | fido
08/9/2005 22:37 | Company News July 2005 - Pitch Control Unit test rig contract from Smiths Aerospace company, Dowty Propellers. GEL Engineering is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract by Smiths Aerospace company, Dowty Propellers (Staverton, Gloucester, UK), for the design, development and manufacture of a Pitch Control Unit Automatic Test Rig. This is a significant contract win for GEL, building on the existing relationship and the successful implementation of the Overspeed Governor Test Rig back in 2004. We look forward to servicing the current and future needs of Dowty Propellers. | rickjmason
07/9/2005 13:34 | Persistant selling seems to have been replaced by persistant buying. Seems to me if they were going bust they would not have gone to the trouble of paying for a new web site. I think there is more going on here than meets the eye. Time for some investigation me thinks. | fido
05/9/2005 14:46 | They've re-designed their website. Probably not relevant though. | rickjmason
05/9/2005 13:47 | Yet another 100K trade gone through. This is not normal trading for Ross. Something is going on and someone out there knows what it is and is filling their boots. Someone must know something surely. | fido
05/9/2005 10:46 | What the hell is going on with this one. A buy of nearly 100k shares has just been registered. Something going on here. Has anyone heard anything? | fido
05/9/2005 10:16 | The mm`s seem to want stock as seen by them raising the bid from 1.5 to 1.75p. Anyone got any ideas? | fido
05/9/2005 08:54 | Its interesting that Ross moved up a tad at the end of last week and is up again this morning on no volume. Has anyone heard any news stories that would explain this. | fido
02/9/2005 17:44 | Whoever brought some of these has obviously not heard about trying to catch a falling knife. | fido
02/9/2005 15:13 | More selling. Will we see the price drop yet again. | fido
02/9/2005 09:39 | No news, no hope! PATHETIC! | fido
01/9/2005 17:52 | This shares lack of recovery means that there is only one way this share is going and thats down.Maybe there is another consolidation on its way so more capital destruction. | fido
30/8/2005 16:15 | So there you go! Another day, more sells-all were missing is yet another drop in the shareprice. | fido
30/8/2005 13:51 | Seems to me that the only thing this company is good for is: 1-Loosing money 2-Making bad investments 3-Shrinking the business 4-Consolidating its shares 5-Destroying shareholder value It has done nothing for years and it seems like thats not going to change. | fido |
