looks like the cable move over 1.29 was a typical early Tokyo morning overshoot - now the bottom is in at 1.20, I reckon 1.30 should hold us till the dust settles over the election - if it starts looking like anything other than a decisive Tory win, we might see GBP rise on the "hopes" of a fudged soft brexit/limited brexit/no brexit deal - I can't see it , but then think of the unlikely events over the past year we've already discussed

thanks for info ian and I will check it out . Aussie mining stocks reversed early losses and mainly finished up on the day, eg RIO up 1.55% . MAY mean a bounce in UK too but who knows !

never been able to find a reliable one Arja, largely cos the only place it seems to "trade " as we would understand is the nymex - 62% China port - if Roman is still around he probably has a better idea - i'm not sure how much Rio share price follows this, or if its just something trotted out to satisfy journos as to why something has moved
try this hxxps://www.barchart.com/futures/quotes/TRY00

Good luck ward collector Its all brewing here , the universe want this down. -Gbp is looking to break out( If it does big fall for rio)-iron ore is tanking (if it does not recover soon big fall in rio )-supply is ever increasing (pushing iron ore lower)-cant see the big spending trump ( less demand) promised on infrastructure. May get a whole lot cheaper before be goes up again .Not saying it will all happen today but can see this going in the 20s again.

Not sure that will have a big impact on the sector ; I just added at 3040 . 10% upside looks likely to me over the summer , providing Trump doesn't do anything to plunge the World into chaos....

Robrah- yes, a short term bullish trade can become a long term investment or loss if do not cut loss quickly. I know that from bitter experience and never do that nowadays .

Robrah,
if its scary, do not try and short it!
you are trying to bite more than you can chew, so stay away.

Rio is doing well, and quality iron ore, is still being paid high prices.

yes,Rio is going up.
Rio is buying more shares for its share buy back program as the shares are cheaper.
They were up in the US not much but slightly positive.
So watch out for a recovery in the London market.

Scary part is this may end below 30 and keep going lower for till results come out and that too may not be enough to provide a dead cat bounce .Looks like the party is over for those with a time frame of a few month . This will now most like become a long term investment.lol

Not over done . Look at the iron ore price down 30 usd from highs . Fall is in line and gbp is gaining fast . Could well hit 30 or below today
