Yeah, OK, I liked the odds. I bought some more.
Seems excellent value at under 10p to buy.

I've seen what RNS that includes "sales" in it can do to a stock (IEH) and these REDt storage batteries are worth a great deal more than a "drone battery" .

Africa households can save US$8bn from reduced energy cost

According to the report the market does not serve the poor well, as Africa’s poorest households are spending around US$10/kWh on lighting, or around 20 times the amount spent by high-income households with a connection to the grid.

Or this due end of March? It's all sounding like March: -

The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy select committee has said that it expects the government to publish its eagerly anticipated Emissions Reduction Plan by the end of this month, as pledged by climate change and industry minister Nick Hurd.

This morning the BEIS committee published its second report; a first review of the industrial strategy published by the government earlier this year.

The strategy outlined how prime minister Theresa May’s parliament would set out to encourage sustainable growth throughout the wider economy but, aside from mentions of a research and innovation centre for battery and grid technologies and pledges to support electric vehicle development, it strayed away from explicit mentions of decarbonisation.

This, the government said at the time, would be left to the forthcoming Emissions Reduction Plan, a document which is now nearly three months behind schedule having originally been slated for the end of 2016.

It will establish how the government intends to meets its decarbonisation commitments set out in the fifth carbon budget which was ratified by former energy secretary Amber Rudd in one of her last acts in the role.

Delays to the document’s publication have been recurring and widely publicised, with the government reluctant to publicly commit to a precise schedule.

However the select committee has now clearly stressed that it expects the document to be published by the end of this month, as stated in one of its recommendations within today’s review.

“While we welcome the industrial strategy’s support for energy innovators, taking advantage of the economic opportunities presented by decarbonisation also means ensuring the UK continues to be seen as a world-leader in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

“In this context, we trust that the government will publish its Emissions Reduction Plan by the end of March 2017, as indicated to us by the minister of state for climate change and industry. The government needs to ensure that the Emissions Reduction Plan and industrial strategy are coherent and consistent, with commitments in the industrial strategy to actively support delivery of current and future carbon budgets,” the review states.

Or this due end of March: -

UK utility National Grid is opening up the tender process to allow smaller companies and non-traditional energy storage methods to compete in the grid-scale UK market.

The company is aiming to simplify its suite of balancing services rather than simply tendering for more individual services targeting specific needs, such as Enhanced Frequency Response (EFR).

Last year the company successfully tendered 201MW of EFR in eight projects totalling £65.95m (with an average price of £9.44/MW of EFR/h) to maintain the grid frequency at 50Hz.

This year the company is re-writing the process in a bid to

group together balancing services with similar requirements and make the process of energy distribution more flexible.

The three initial groups will include Frequency Response, Reserve Energy and Standby & Margin categories, although others may be added.

So for example, EFR and firm frequency response (FFR) dynamic and static will be in the general frequency response category; whereas reserve services and demand turn-up will be grouped in the reserve energy section along with STOR runway.

Work on the new proposal is ongoing, with National Grid planning to announce more details in its Electricity Future Operability Strategy document at the end of March.

There's more, we have this that could well be holding things up from a disclosure PoV: -

There are two opportunities to apply for the energy storage cost reduction competition:

Tranche 1 – registration by 16 March 2017 and the deadline for applications is 13:00 on 23 March.
Tranche 2 – registration by 1 June 2017 and the deadline for applications is 13:00 on 8 June.
Included in that funding is “an additional £600,000 to support feasibility studies for a potential first-of-a-kind, large-scale future storage demonstrator,” said BEIS. To apply for the energy storage feasibility study competition, registration is required by 16 March and the deadline for applications is 13:00 on 23 March 2017.

A separate competition has up to £7.6 million available for “innovative demonstrations of energy demand side response technologies in UK businesses or public sector organisations to reduce their energy use in peak times and provide flexibility to the energy system”.

To join this competition, particpants must submit a registration email to smart.innovation@beis.gov.uk with the title “Non-Domestic DSR Competition” as the email subject by 11 May.

The government also plans to invest up to £9.2 million in an ‘Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator’, to be delivered over the next four years. It will seek industry-specific solutions which are close to commercialisation by leveraging private sector investment and strengthening UK supply chains. BEIS is looking for partner organisations to design and run the competition and expressions of interest should be sent to industry.innovation@beis.gov.uk.

Why the office in Livingstone? After a little research we know there’s a couple of jobs that reference working in Halifax, we have Ovenden Moor there which is an E.On project that is currently undergoing a new set of wind turbines being installed, in fact it is the only installation taking place in Halifax so one would assume we are part of that in some regard, hopefully that will be announced perhaps after a few legislation changes later this month or perhaps a round of funding that had a deadline from BEIS earluer this month.

Made me think, what is in Scotland near our newly employed Commercial Director, we know that our machines is designed to last lifetime of wind and solar installations, around 25 years. Assuming then that there’s enquiries from those looking to install a solution together with a new wind farm i have found these that are located pretty close and some less than an hours drive.

Quite a few to be targeting, writing up proposals, there has to be a reason for a newly formed team in Scotland, it was only previously our r&d centre.

Any connections in any of these? Listed name and size of installation below.

4 more days before Zoom.? My reasoning : days passing, new quarter, maybe news on rules linking to grid.Long time passed , no not fair, some time passed since last update. Results by themselves will be indifferent , and from the past, so a bright forward-looking statement will be in order.

the price is like any product, you order one and you pay top price you order many and the price drops.....the same will apply to REDT,s storage machine....so a large order from a utility will gain a huge discount on the $490 per kWh..
