Jabil had 2 manufacturing sites in Livingston and one in Ayr, now are they closing down both Livingston manufacturing facilities or just one???? the other they could be dedicating to REDT,s storage machines !!!! but that is not up to REDT to broadcast...

Lots of people fretting over Gigha. As far as I can see, Gigha is a non-issue for RedT. Lots of people fretting about Jabil closing their Livingstone workshop. This is also a non-issue for Red, IMHO.

But this is AIM, where lots of people fret over non-issues. Which is great, because it provides lots of buying opportunities for others!

If Jabil decided it's cheaper elsewhere surely that's a good thing? Reduce our costs.. email from joe again!

Thanks for getting in touch. To be clear, this announcement does not materially affect the redT business, fulfilment of any orders or any other element of our corporate strategy.

As has been communicated previously, redT holds a global manufacturing service agreement with Jabil, which is not tied to any one specific location. As such, any closure of the Livingston office is immaterial and we will continue to work with Jabil to optimise the lowest cost manufacture of the different components of our machines, utilising Jabil’s 90+ manufacturing plants across the world.

With regards to our own Livingston office, we will continue its expansion in line with our business plan. We have built a strong engineering and operations team since its opening back in 2015 and the downturn of the Scottish oil and gas sector has provided us with access to a highly skilled pool of labour with which to expand.

Why do they need issue an RNS? Failing to see why they need issue one, nothing has changed and our manufacturing agreement, international one, is still valid and they are still making our product.

Heck, we need a RNS from REDt to explain what's going on. Otherwise, this situation looks really bad. No RNS on Monday and I'll be selling down.

Have to say the Livingston issue worries me not one jot.But to some like Gigha it could be a loose end so , yes, close these issues down.

Very interested to know how they proceed with manufacture now Livingston closing down. Obviously there will be options for utilising one or more of the other Jabil plants but with the siting of the Redt offices in Livingston clearly not ideal. At the time they signed their agreement with Jabil it seemed an excellent move and a game changer to the security of Redt going forward taking away much of the risk of commercialising the product. However now the design changes have been made and a production facility set up at Livingston would it be a possibility for Redt to take production back in house. they could possibly lease part of the Jabil factory, set on some of the existing experienced workforce and possibly even get a handout from the Scottish Government. Just a thought ??

The share price is currently down 43% from its high of 16.25 on 25th October. If what you guys are saying is correct, then this surely must be a great buying opportunity before the market realises the potential of this company.

Nevertheless, I will proceed with caution for a bit.

Look at this tender which redT are looking at, just look at what is involved with a sale, we only have a thin team that is expanding quickly, I actually think we are due sales around now, not before based on process: -

Flintshire County Council
Publication Date: 28/02/2017
Deadline Date: 28/03/2017
Deadline Time: 15:00
Notice Type: Contract Notice

Abstract: The works shall consist of a full turnkey solution including the design, supply, installation, connection, commissioning and handover of a liquid vanadium flow battery storage system for the storage of existing solar generation, when solar generation is in excess of school demand. This will also include, but should not be limited to, the provision of all civil works, trenching, fencing, and connection to the main distribution board. The battery will be discharged overnight using stored solar generation (i.e. time shifting) for use by the school and will not be charged via grid supplied electricity unless there is a shortfall in stored electricity and grid electricity is deemed necessary to complete the charge. Off grid operation is not required.
This project is subject to planning approval being granted and the contractor will be required to provide design drawings and associated information to be submitted with the planning application. No formal contract will be signed until planning permission has been granted.

I'm pretty sure 2017 will be the year REDt will announce some significant sales. When they do the share price will take off. Looking at other common examples, this should be from about 10p to 20p on open

I'll go further, I think it will be this quarter (April to June) - new tax year and brexit started. Later in the year you have numerous holidays, bad weather and dark nights.

Look at the recent news again from the appointment of Stewart in March 2017:

Stewart will be responsible for redT's commercial sales, software, customer support and implementation teams.
TEAMS (plural), SALES (plural)

and

He brings with him a wealth of experience in leading sales, engineering and product teams in fast moving technology businesses and has a track record of delivering results. David knows the redT team well having worked with redT as a supportive partner (Director of Jabil inc).
TEAMS (plural)

Watch the story unfold this year, hopefully, this quarter.
Keep an eye on their careers page, it tells you what is potentially already happening:

Take this line from one of the career adverts:

Anyone else know how much electricity charge is on house? Mine just bumped up to near 16p kWh.

Our system used twice daily is 12 cents or less then 10p and due to fall by 30% plus.

This is commercial today, corporates will be paying more per kWh then What I am.

4 generation 3 units sold if we include Thaba. (Innshipping) and one dispatched to Wokingham.

That's Jabil Inola and that windy place up north paying customers.

Thaba Hotel at a guess will be installed next couple of weeks.

From job adverts above there's mentio of Halifax, e.on have a wind farm they are replacing wind turbines now, it's a 18MW farm. I've emailed company asking what link is in Halifax but without reply, normally they are quite quick at reply.

Thought this might be of interest for those who feel nothing is happening, clearly there's plenty going on based on the job adverts that have only recently appeared since our new Commercial Director appeared. Certainly would imply they have an order book that is about complete. There are many other roles that have been filled however they don't mention travel so I have excluded them: -

Roles mentioning Halifax listed here

Technical Writer/Author

Role will be based in Livingston and may require some travel to Halifax.

Technical Buyer

The role will be based in Livingston, Scotland, and may require occasional travel to Halifax and Wokingham.

Other Job Adverts:-

Installation Manager

Role will be based in Livingston, Scotland and will require significant travel (Domestic and/or Global, up to 50%).

Customer Support Manager

Role will be based in Livingston, Scotland and will require travel to our other offices in Wokingham and London, as well as to customer sites (Domestic and/or Global, up to 50%).

APPLICATION ENGINEER

The role will be based in Livingstone, Scotland, but with an expectation for significant time to be spent on site supporting sales and implementation teams.

Technical Applications Engineer

UK Nationwide/International

PROPOSAL WRITER

The role will be based in Clerkenwell, London.

Software Manager

Role will be based in Livingston and will require a minimum of 25% travel to customer sites.

Sumitomo was the company I referred to. Just I stalked huge flow system in San Diego. New system also out there....zinc flow. Come on Redt before you get quickly left behind. Ps lithium ion is still projected to be the main battery runner for the next 5-10 years.

Screaming buy! LolThe lines could be drawn to show a wedge that needs resolution. I'd have thought upwards. Today's move an outlier because of Livingston?
