Larva, is that the August rating? Or has it been updated since then.

Patisserie Holdings (CAKE): Upgrade to Buy (BUY)

A positive site visit this week has given us comfort on FY16 (September) numbers and our focus now turns to FY17

forecasts, which bear upside risk, in our view. The share price remains 10% below pre-referendum levels and has been

largely ignored in the post Brexit recovery. We reaffirm our 350p price target and upgrade from Hold to Buy.

Very brief reference (recommendation as such as only 3 shares mentioned) in an article in the Money section of The Times today on the pros and cons of investing in the AIM Market:

"Another is Patisserie Valerie. “It makes cakes and sweets and has 200 outlets. It is opening 20 new shops each year and is able to finance this from its terrific cashflow. It has no sizeable direct competitor and its share price now is about double what it was in 2014.”

I pass the new pattisserie store in Belfast every day. It's latest one on the few occasions I've passed over the past week has been full every lunchtime - I mean full - no free seats!

Don't know if that will pass as it's only the second store in the province, but I'm stunned how busy it is.

Last Friday, I watched and it was queued out the door. I watched a couple of groups turn around and leave because there was no room!

The other store in Belfast was admittedly quieter, but doing good business all the same.

They are looking to expand in Ireland too - I think they would do rather well in Dublin.

Patisserie Valerie, which operates more than 115 cafés across the United Kingdom, has opened its doors in Middlesbrough on 15th November 2016. The renowned national chain has moved into Debenhams in the heart of the city centre, and has created approximately 20 jobs. The new Middlesbrough Patisserie Valerie store will offer the brands famously indulgent patisserie and cake range, which are lovingly handmade by expert bakers. Whilst customers indulge in the delicious freshly baked treats they will be able to enjoy handcrafted coffee by trained baristas and a selection of the finest loose leaf teas.Customers will also be able to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea at the store, which involves a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and a range of mini patisserie bites. The new store will also be a place to order and collect celebration cakes perfect for birthdays, anniversary and parties as well as wedding cakes. Customers can choose from Valerie's signature range of gateaux and wedding cakes or use the company's interactive create-a-cake tool. Patisserie Valerie also offers a bespoke cake service for birthday, wedding and other special occasion cakes which can be discussed with a member of staff in store.Paul May, CEO of Patisserie Holdings PLC, the group that owns Patisserie Valerie, commented on the new opening "Our new café in Middlesbrough is part of our continuing partnership with Debenhams. We can't wait to open and we hope the people of Middlesbrough enjoy our lovingly handmade cakes!"Patisserie Valerie was first opened in Frith Street in London's Soho in 1926 by Belgian born Madame Valerie. She came to London on a mission to introduce fine continental patisserie to the English, Patisserie Valerie is now a nationwide brand known as a haven for self-indulgence.
