Thanks to bestace for the links to the two articles. Some interesting points there. The sharescope article is confusing me a little,what is the 7% discount rate about?As a simple non accountant I don't know why it is applied.Can anyone help with that? Meanwhile I am digesting the rest of it!

Bestace, I read that article, somehow I think there is much more to come here, bolt on additions they have been successful with in the past.Luke Johnson is the best in the business.

Gails products are excellent. if you have no will power and have to pass their shops long term it could be fatal. purchasing an item a day would put on pounds ! their quality is superb and when opening a new shop recently gave away a product to everyone for the first few days . if you purchased something they gave away something else to try. much better than spending on advertising. within days everyone in the locality was talking about it. they sent a free product voucher to all the local houses and have achieved massive market penetration . at night they discard any left over stock and i believe a charity collects it.
they have since taken trade away from 2 local restaurants one of which has not bothered to open since.
they are now opening another a mile away .

I would question that 9.9x figure - with £13.3m of cash on the balance sheet a multiple of 9.9 would imply a profit this year of nearly £33m, over twice what they made last year.

Thats before a deal.

Wait till a deal comes and we get upgrades :))))))

I'm assuming they've got the units in the bag. I guess we get an announcement this week.
