We have recovered yesterday's loss following brilliant results. The market doesn't seem to appreciate the quality of this company.

Here's the proof, there is a Christmas Market opposite in the city hall, both Cake cafes have two Greggs also opened recently. Incidentally, Greggs is always busy too :-)

R Ball - 410 ....deserted shop in a major city centre at lunchtime 4 weeks before Xmas?? Mmmmm.

Perhaps everyone had travelled to Belfast to shop then? That would be just as likely as your assertion.

You discredit yourself.

By all means post a reasoned bear argument and I'll be the first to read and consider.

All new stores profitable in the first week!

"The payback on our stores continues to be less than 24 months and all of our new openings have been profitable from the first week of trading."

Confirmation bias. The pat val in Manchester was deserted yesterday lunchtime.

Patisserie Holdings PLC (LON:CAKE)‘s stock had its “buy” rating reaffirmed by Investec in a note issued to investors on Tuesday. They presently have a GBX 400 target price on the stock. Investec’s target price would indicate a potential upside of 47.76% from the company’s current price.

Economic backdrop seems not to affect CAKE, tourism boost might actually help them next year?

"General market conditions remain competitive and in 2016 we experienced a number of macro events which may have had an impact to our trading; however the performance of our new and existing estate was resilient, which gives us great confidence as to the economic resilience of our business. Our products are seen as affordable treats in times of uncertainty, and as a luxurious indulgence when celebrating. We saw little or no effect on sales from Brexit and experienced no impact on our workforce. "

The more I look at these results, the more impressed I am.

Margins from increasing raw food ingredients mitigated.
Labour wage increased mitigated by more efficient roster.
Labour costs year ahead insignificant rise
I can tell from first hand knowledge - their Northern Ireland stores are at near capacity every lunchtime -especially the new one, its stunning to the point potential customers are leaving because there is no room.

Throwing off cash now at an increasing rate, 20% dividend increase.

Gross margins actually increased - "Gross margin of 78.1% (2015: 77.3%)" - that is a stunning margin rate!

20 stores per year roll out, think they should go to Dublin - there was a hint on one of their tweets to a customer from the States that they might look internationally.

Hold and watch it rise back to 400p+. It won't happen in days though, but today's results should provide assurances now for those worried about costs, and hopefully deliver continued growth back of the share price to proper levels

Everyone has gone quiet! share price has basically just gained back what was lost yesterday. What is wrong? share price still close to year low. Brilliant results as far as I can see. Why was share price above £4 earlier in the year?
