09/9/2011 08:39 | Looking at market cap, these are lagging relative to WSX.Catch up is due inmho. | imperial3
09/9/2011 08:31 | TLW up over £1 or market cap up nearly £1 billion pounds. NOP has about 1/20th of TLWs interest so the read across should be £50 million, a huge rise. However, TLW does have interests in several blocks here. | zingaro
09/9/2011 08:29 | I'd rate it as more significant than Markwells wood but we're not going to see a real re-rating until the Italian licences start to produce some results. Still holding for that. | estseon
09/9/2011 08:29 | Markwell results to come as well.Gee wiz. | imperial3

09/9/2011 07:59 | Dusta is still banging on about Italy, as if there is even a remote chance of doing anything. Derek Musgrove, Managing Director of Northern Petroleum Plc, also commented today: "This has been and continues to be an adventurous well both in terms of petroleum geology and technical operations challenge in over 2000 metres of water. It has taken some time, but we are beginning to feel that the results are encouraging. It is a pleasurable experience to be working in an exploration group with Tullow, Shell and Total encountering and overcoming the operational challenges. I trust that we have gained some useful experiences to apply in the future offshore Italy where our interests are greater." | maxk
09/9/2011 07:52 | something positive at last...... | estseon
09/9/2011 07:51 | Dusta Derek strikes oil....shock horror | maxk

09/9/2011 07:21 | seems like NOP finally struck oil!! or rather Tullow did on its behalf. Not sure how positive the RNS is though. Guess further testing will add flesh to the bones but at least not a duster! | stnick
09/9/2011 07:21 | Zzzzzzzzzzz ooops... time to wake up and pass the chocolate digestive biscuits?? maybe?? | ethics_gradient

09/9/2011 00:14 | Comment from the wsx thread...a bit livelier than here ohisay - 8 Sep'11 - 12:13 - 784 of 793 NOP market cap £67m - including cash at end June of £24m. They have producing dutch fields of circa 1600 boepd this year.Plus not insubstantial nominal 2p reserves in Italy. I'm no big fan of NOP but WSX market cap of £23m for the same share of Zady is over the top cf NOP. At 23m market cap WSX is already pricing a find in - NOP isnt . | maxk
08/9/2011 16:23 | Nop's 1.25% would be like having 1.25% of the dead sea! | howard s
08/9/2011 09:58 | And Marwell aint happy about it. | skidaddle
08/9/2011 08:20 | Maybe thats the problem? They is drilling in the wrong wood.... | maxk |
