08/6/2015 11:20 | ex Farmer in Devon I think. Maybe this guy - He has also just increased his stake in SRT the day before their trading statement? Must have come into some money? | trexpert
08/6/2015 10:50 | Mr R Persey buying more - Interesting - He must be down very substantially on his previous purchase. Anyone know him ? | pugugly
06/6/2015 09:36 | There's still a lot more bad news to come in this sector. We've seen PRES get hit hard too recently and you can look at others in the mining support services sector as well as oil services like FENR, HTG etc. Many of these, had bounced off their lows in the anticipation that the worst was all in the price but it isn't imv. Many years ago having worked in a number of businesses in the oil and gas sector my experience (sadly i didn't heed this knowledge when i bought back in recently but fortunately got out early) is that when there's a down turn capex gets taken out at a substantial level and projects get shelved. It can take years before the confidence to reinvest comes back and i figure we are at least one full reporting season away from any likelyhood of a change in business sentiment. Anyone buying in the current climate is taking on far too much risk imv. A third profit warning is in the offing I see sub £2 before any upturn. aimho dyor etc woody | woodcutter
05/6/2015 13:41 | Starting the big climb back after director buying. | dlku
05/6/2015 11:37 | Ash Mehta....non-exec... exercised around 50k options...none sold... +ve sign imho My guess is that he will be putting in to ISA or similar....taking advantage of the low sh. price....ie. with a view that the share price has good upside potential over time....time will tell... | smithie6
05/6/2015 09:45 | Btw ..one thing that puts me off PRES is the history at Redhall over last few yrs....chart tells the story...also does machining etc like PRES....And theres another uk co. with same story...cant recall name at the..began with P !...phps now delisted...machining | smithie6
04/6/2015 18:15 | Yes, it's interesting. I'm still exposed via WSE i suppose. Decided it's better to just get out and wait 6m - should have made that decision much earlier. The share price collapse from £6 says it all really. Will definitely look to buy back in again once trading stabilises both here and at PRES. | topvest
04/6/2015 17:22 | Topvest ..interesting... ...at least I think you top sliced some NBI higher up... ..interesting situation...weighing NAV, profit warning, short term vs medium term vs long term..& oil/gas prices....etc etc.. | smithie6
04/6/2015 09:06 | I've sold out of my remaining NBI and PRES today whilst I can still get out at a profit. Made x3 and x2 on original investment in both respectively, but could have been double that return if I had sold out the lot at the top. It is very clear that things are deteriorating rapidly in this sector and their announcements don't seem to be keeping up with how rapid the deterioration in trading is. I expect things to get worse before they get better. Will put both on my watch list for one when things actually stabilise. | topvest
03/6/2015 14:19 | Not exactly large purchases though. I wouldn't read much into them to be honest. | topvest
03/6/2015 14:14 | starting to motorrrr | dlku
03/6/2015 08:38 | boucing after director buying | dlku
29/5/2015 12:20 | NAV Of course key item is future for rental kit...most of tang. NAV. Sitting unused it has low value.....if frequently rented out then it has value. Lots of unknowns at present. | smithie6
29/5/2015 12:08 | ...divi..to save face....agree with you on that one.. Be interesting to see what happens in coming 6, 12, 18 months.. ...tricky/risky.... Mr Buffett says he likes to buy when others are fearful...while famous sayings include 'profit warnings come in threes'..& 'dont catch a falling knife'.. Interesting. ...with this from 600p to 210p...plus500 went from 750p to 250p day closing price....Tungsten... risky out there !! | smithie6
29/5/2015 10:51 | ..interesting to note imho that the large price bounces on the way down from 600p were basically ...false.. | smithie6 |
