Yes, Cathy has recently started to jump on the cheap journalism bandwagon. A few weeks ago she asked Prince Charles an unnecessary and underhanded question about his family at Davos. She is normally a decent professional on these matters and it is disappointing to see this. C4 news is generally very good.

"If you bought in the last 10 years your investment would have been pretty stable"
and..."you'd have collected all the divi's"
So. how much would you have collected in divs in the last 10 years..collected?
And forget about inflation for now....what price would you have had to buy below, to be ahead at this point in time?
I will help you out a little..12.81p in divs (collected) last ten years
Current share price 55.35p..add 12.81p = ?
If you bought at the lows of 2012 well done you..doubled your money..get out now.

Friday was a down day for most stocks and will probably roll on through Monday so this would have dropped whatever the price. If you bought in the last 10 years your investment would have been pretty stable and you'd have collected all the divi's. My B/E price is 54p so it's getting close but I'm not bothered, I'm holding and reinvesting the divi's for retirement.

"Lloyds shareprice hasn't halfed in the last 10 years though has it."
You got me...just..
It was over a pound at the end of 2009, it was £6.00 in 2007.
Splitting hairs....I think you get the general idea.
Thursday's results day share price got a boost
Friday gave it all back and closed below Wednesdays price.
Can you tell me when you will get the capitol that you invested in Lloyds Bank back...while you coin in those div payments?..a wild guess?
"Do you feel lucky punk? well do ya?"
LLOY share ticker (little relation to Lloyds bank) has been on an (orchestrated?) decline since 2014
See the chart...so where is it heading?

Here's a proverb, especially for Minnie:-

"A young person can have as many new clothes as an elderly one, but not as many rags."

Mind you, he probably won't get it, or just deliberately misinterpret it.

WHO Chief Warns "Window Of Opportunity Is Narrowing" As Coronavirus Spreads To Lebanon, Iran; 253 More Passengers Depart 'Diamond Princess' As 11 Test Positive In Nebraska

Epidemiologist had already warned that patients could be reinfected with the virus. But the Epoch Times' Jennifer Zeng is sharing a report about a patient in Sichuan (notably one of the provinces visited by WHO experts) who was reinfected with the virus after recovering.

Chinese Coronavirus Patient Reinfected 10 Days After Leaving Hospital

And as more than a dozen buses sat on the tarmac at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport with 328 Americans wearing surgical masks and gloves inside,
awaiting anxiously to fly home after weeks in quarantine aboard the Diamond Princess, U.S. officials wrestled with troubling news:
new test results showed that 14 passengers were infected with the virus. The problem: the U.S. State Department had promised
that no one with the infection would be allowed to board the planes.

In retrospect, the CDC will soon be proven correct in its dire warning that repatriating a full plane of both infected and healthy individuals
could be a catastrophic error, because it now appears that not only can the virus remain latent for as long as 42 days, 4 weeks longer than traditionally assumed,
resulting in numerous false negative cases as infected carrier slip across borders undetected, but far more ominously, it now appears that the diseases can re-infect recently "cured" patients, because as Taiwan News reports, a Chinese patient who just recovered from the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) has been infected for the second time in the province of Sichuan, according to local health officials.
