05/1/2018 14:56 | "2018 will be THE year for both VS and LEG in a big way in my opinion." Bloody hope so Prof, "ah cannae take much more of this"! Could do with banking at 1p (ASAP preferably). HNY, BTW | philmiboots
05/1/2018 14:22 | I meant over the pond Gotto. For that matter you could have cited Amazon. Didn't one of the execs from VS fly to New York some time back (as we will for the 1p party)? I read into that two things. Firstly he may have been over there touting for business, or meeting retailing bosses, or secondly he may have combined that with a chat to NASDAQ execs sounding out the possibility of a float. If memory recalls, he was there not long after VS announced the NotionCapital stake and the intention to float. All intriguing stuff going on quietly behind the scenes. 2018 will be THE year for both VS and LEG in a big way in my opinion. | professor pettigrew

05/1/2018 13:27 | That would be good Gotto, but maybe it's just too big a bite of the cherry first time round. VS could certainly do companies like Sears Holdings and Macy's favours though, although Sears are closing and selling 103 stores. Looks like they will eventually end up as a real estate company. | professor pettigrew
05/1/2018 13:09 | I would love to think that when they said they plan to break into overseas markets that this company was involved | gottopickapocketortwo

05/1/2018 11:34 | Professor Pettigrew 5 Jan '18 - 11:27 - 11366 of 11367 0 0 1 Morning KK - and best wishes to you too. My hunch is that VS are doing massive amounts of work behind the scenes. I think our patience will pay off big time, and in Q1 I'm expecting quite a few new contracts to be announced. I may be wrong... You usually are. Is it any surprise your rubbish gets marked down? Christ, try and post something interesting. ANYTHING !!! | michaelsadvfn
05/1/2018 11:27 | Morning KK - and best wishes to you too. My hunch is that VS are doing massive amounts of work behind the scenes. I think our patience will pay off big time, and in Q1 I'm expecting quite a few new contracts to be announced. I may be wrong, but I don't think so. They have been busy employing some key personnel over the past couple of months, and that won't be just for fun. There are some retailers out there that are starting to crack at the edges, yesterday Debenhams announced a profit warning, but hidden in there was the fact that their online sales are rising quite sharply. M&S have announced they are "restructuring" their food section - perfect territory for a possible VS move, although when I did hear from them a couple of months back they acknowledged that although they were fully aware of VS and what they had to offer, they had no plans "currently" to tie-up with them as "most of our food is own branded". But, of course, things can change rapidly. Who is to say that M&S won't start stocking more brands in the future? Who knows what is going on in the minds of the CEO's that run companies that are seeing their profits falling? Virtualstock are superbly placed to scoop up some major names in 2018 in my view. | professor pettigrew
