Belt they didn't agree a price of 0.145p. That's just how much the stake works out at. It's not written on any certificate anywhere. The only figure written on the share certificate will be the same as in yours 0.1p.They agreed to take a 9.7% in CfA and valued the company at £3.7mThis meant that Leg would have to pay £360000 to buy the 9.7% of CfABut Leg didn't have that in cash, so they said 'how about we give you the same value in shares'So, how many shares do they need to issue to equal £360000?Given that the share price was 0.14p at the time they have to use a value close to that figure. So, they work with 0.145 to determine how many shares to issue.

They will have bought the shares. Following due diligence by both sides there will have been a share purchase agreement signed with the sell by both the sides and the purchases by the others. Share certificates in LEG for the price of 0.145p will have been issued. Legally they bought the shares. Why did they agree for the price of 0.145, that is the point I am making. They did not have to do it. I assume they are happy with the price, and hopefully they will profit very well in the future (they may not sell in the short term, with LEG as a shareholder they may view this as a fruitful partnership for the benefit of both sides).

Anyway you said they got the shares for free, which was wrong.

The point being they did not buy the shares as you stated. Nobody twisted their arms to buy. They will profit by selling at any price.

I think by your own statement above, they did not get the shares for free.

"The recent placing was taken up at .0145p (£300K+ value). What prompted these people to get their arms twisted to buy at that price (I purchased cheaper this past week)."Belt, they didn't buy any LEG stock, they were given the shares for free in exchange for a percentage of their company.

Cheers Belt - and I notice there hasn't been a torrent of selling either.

They will, of course, dispose of some when the share price creaks to the 0.14-0.15p level I would suspect, but I also suspect they will be hanging on to quite a lot of the stock in preparation for the news to come.

Interesting times ahead indeed.

Spot on prof

VS were appointed by John Lewis/Waitrose on March 2017. LEG are in profit for the six months to September 2017.

The recent placing was taken up at .0145p (£300K+ value). What prompted these people to get their arms twisted to buy at that price (I purchased cheaper this past week).

Interesting times ahead.

I was under the impression that my post referred to LEG and its (undoubted) potential to float.

I've decided, in the event of absolutely nothing in front of the scenes or behind the scenes to talk about, to just repost every vs tweet.

After all, that's all they seem to be doing.

If you care to do a bit of research instead of being so negative, you'll see that is their intention, it was quoted last summer by the directors of VS.

And if you care to look even further, you'll see that they almost qualify for a float on the NASDAQ SmallCap exchange.

Around the time the directors made that statement, Zaf reiterated that VS would eventually attain "unicorn" status.

So, "certainly not on NASDAQ" is a complete erroneous and false statement to make.

LEG might indeed float; but where ?
Certainly not on NASDAQ.

Yes, we need something like that Gotto. I'm surprised, as a regular viewer of CNBC and Bloomberg that the PR hasn't kicked into gear and someone from VS hasn't been on either channel yet.

Maybe a few more contracts and overseas expansion need to be in place first.

Certainly if they do float on NASDAQ it will then make the financial news channels.

Good morning to all genuine non leg holders.

I'm being patient.
There's a lot going on behind the scenes.
Our day will come.
The doomsters will be seething when these hit 1p.
