Brucie5 - ST does seem to have a good track record and a wide following. Like any tipster he has his hits and his misses, but he certainly unearths some gems from time to time.

The subscription cost will easily pay for itself imo as long as you have a sensible exit strategy for any of his tips you follow.

Protean, I used to get the IC back in the day, hard copy, with files full of back copies stacked up on my shelves.. Then stopped and never came back. ST is one reason i might reconsider, as he seems very astute. Do you recommend it?

A very good hold imo, and I too noticed the tick upwards today. Blue sky after 1.40. You have to go back to the .com era to see the real fireworks.. So for now probably a good, sobre stock to tuck away.

On a down market day, and with the oil price showing further signs of weakness, this is remaining remarkably resilient. With Goldman Sachs recently (and out of the blue) becoming a 7% shareholder, and with around 53% of the shares held by just 7 shareholders, I wouldn't be surprised to see some news here soon. This makes up a fair chunk of my portfolio though, so I may be being optimistic rather than realistic. (I also added today. Not the 900k.)

Unlikely that Kestrel have been offloading, I think they're very bullish about KBC. I would imagine that any sales would have triggered a Directors holding RNS.

Looking at the RNS more closely, I don't think the Goldman purchase can have happened on 6 July, as the RNS says. There were only a handful of trades that day. Must have been those big trades on 3 July. And some others -- Goldman must have added at least 2.8 million shares to go from under 3% to 6.49%, so they must have been building their stake for a while. Wonder if Kestrel has been laying off some of its risk here? They've been jigging their holdings around in their nominee accounts recently -- may have been doing that to tee up a sale to Goldman?

Definitely a positive sign. I can see these kicking on to 140p pretty quickly if they take out the recent high. Trading update in the next couple of weeks.

There was a pre-close trading update last year on 29 July, so maybe buying in advance of that? Also, goes ex dividend for 1.1p later this week, with payment at the end of the month. No idea why no share price movement though.

Some big trades (buys) this afternoon -- 385k at 119, 33.5k at 120, 535k at 119.11. Got to be an RNS or two after those imo.

Looks like a moderately big order in the wings as price has gone up despite low vol sells today. Grexit I believe should now affect share price much as KBC is in a niche market
