SmartMoney100 (Re: #3405),

There was no reason to expect a trading statement, accompanying yesterday's AGM statement.

As far as I can see, the only time Intercede ever issued a trading statement on AGM day was in 2011.

Now (as it turns out), it did it again yesterday. But it is not the norm.

It is a pity that FSA just don't seem to prosecute insiders! Makes it easy money for the insiders, whilst investors take all the risk, and directors issue themselves with risk free options.

Used to hold years ago, made a decent enough profit when I sold. Only sold to fund buying a pub (great fun but would have been rather more profitable to have kept to investing)!

IGP always remains on my watchlist, as much out of curiosity as anything really. I saw some good momentum building and meant to research further as to why. Never got round to it though and the time has now passed. So many others that I'd like to invest in or top up in.

Good to see IGP's day may finally be arriving. Well done to all long termers and new investors alike.

Cheers Smart

not 100k of shares in a company that is quoted in 5k lots you don't and where there is a trade every few days perhaps.

The premium paid to get such an amount was probably at least 5-8p and even then I would be surprised if there is that much free stock anywhere to even get it at that premium.

Not many would pay £5-8k over the spot price without knowing something about a contract being signed etc.

If I may ask why didn't you buy - was it because you realised you would have to pay over the odds to get such a quantity ? If the answer is yes ...............

FELIX, I was thinking of investing myself the other day, I decided against.

If I had it would probably of been around 30,000 shares. It would not have been based on inside information. Investors do sometimes buy or sell before trading statements you know.

Interesting that the new wins are both European. There's probably a fair amount of pent up demand: big projects of this type are easy to put on hold in the face of a difficult macro environment.

Revenue up AND:

1. lots more to come -- new contracts commonly generate relatively little revenue in year 1;

2. significant operational gearing with gross profit >99%.

To illustrate (2), gross margin in H1 2012 was 99.4% and admin expenses were £3.72m. Assuming a 7% rise in admin expenses (to reflect the growth in the labour cost), costs for H1 2013 were £3.98m, giving profit for H1 of £0.5m, compared with a loss of £84k in H1 2012.

IGP needs quite a lot of cash on its balance sheet. If you're a governmental entity or a large defence or telecoms company, you need to be sure in entering a contract with IGP that it will be around for the duration. The cash gives them that assurance.

nice contract news. revenue up, but still small - esp. as the new contracts have already made a contribution. cash increasing - what do they want it all for ?

solid company. or is that stolid ? imho, still needs a change of management to get to the next level. LOQ bought in a dynamic CEO and sales team (effectively retiring the founder and existing sales guy) a few years ago and the company hasn't looked back since.

Who is going to contact the authorities then ? - that rise up to today's announcement looks very, very dodgy.

Intercede is a Security software provider. I wish they would get there own house in order!

I want to download the 2013 Annual Report but cannot do so because of an annoying "Security Check" box that pops up asking to: "Enter both words below, separated by a space". But there are no words to enter!

I've emailed the company. ;o)
