Fest- saw that 868p trade go through, just happened to see the live pricing at the time. Thought for a second a takeover had been announced. Almost gave a me heart attack!

I think those short positions are several days or even weeks behind with their declarations.I'm sure most are closing this last 2 days, but may not register for a week or so.

I see Marshall Wace have stuck with their short position. With their 18 strong Quant Team - 16 PhDs and 5 MAs (obviously some double-counting there) you would think they'd have the brains to close out?

Richard Cooper informed me that he, and the board of GVC were well aware of this 'troll' and his libellous claims.I'm not entitled to know what action they are taking over him though.

@ Mylands, surely the next step would be to contact GVC IR then with the above feedback. I have nothing against short sellers, and people posting negative views which are posted as opinions or based on facts, but SSW's posting crossed that line significantly. I am not a massive shareholder, but would suggest some of the bigger shareholders on this board follow up with IR.

There's the potential for a strong natural lift to the share price in roughly a week and a half coming out of XD, so only modest movements from now until then will preserve the relative strength index within acceptable boundaries and prevent driving the price towards the foothills of overbought territory; where there's danger lurking there in the form of letting the bears back in.


. . . . . . EDIT - Just checked and the last time the share price was reading this current relative strength was back in early October when the share price was circa 760p ish. So nice and strong. So it can call it a day for me right now, as I post at 664p showing a 1.3% rise. That'll do me - for today. That would be nice control. Another 6% single day rise, would not.

I think we just need to hold above 650p for a week or two. Like establishing a new base camp from which to push on higher.

"Premature purchasing"... there is no cure but rest assured that it is a lot better than "Premature selling"! Time takes care of noise but regret is never recovered.
