09/2/2017 12:50 | Thanks for your comprehensive news roundup, Brownie...much appreciated! | woodhawk
09/2/2017 12:49 | Yes cheers Brownie , always nice to know your in the right investments. Talking of Asia it has always been my belief that China will open up before the states fully open. There are a lot of high rollers in China spending money outside the country which they don't like and i know they are looking at ways to try and keep them in house. Don't know how GVC are placed to be in there should it ever open up. I know if they did they would limit licences very strictly with only maybe 1 or 2 companies in there they could control properly. The online sector is looking good again now the muppets in the city realise that the restrictions put on high street shops don't affect online businesses the same. | oohrogerpalmer

09/2/2017 11:02 | As previously disclosed I work in the gaming industry. Thus I attending ICE, a major trade show this week. Spoke to suppliers and some middle management. Lots of good news re GVC flying around! Generally in the industry Kenny is very highly regarded but new senior hires bedded in well now ad taking things to a new level. Firstly it was GVC's decision to cancel the Betfred deal. To ensure resource went into wholly owned brands etc which are growing give better returns to shareholders. Bwin as a brand is experiencing strong growth. It operates "on an excellent platform and since we have got hold of it and started marketing properly we are starting to see the returns we hoped for" GVC old brands will be moved across this summer to the Bwin platform and all is on track or ahead of plan. Bwin has just launched in Asia. too early to see results and its a soft launch but I am convinced that this has huge potential. Bwin would have had huge brand awareness there due to the Real Madrid shirt sponsorship deal, and the massive TV exposure that followed in Asia. Casino performing well due in pat to new senior management and the depth of content that they now have as a result of recent deals. Kenny and senior team are holding everyones feet to the fire but also confidence that they are delivering. Minimal UK exposure on sports and thus dodged the recent bad results bullet. They did talk to Lads/Corals but it was Kenny who pulled the deal due to concerns about the future of betting shops and the FOBT review. Already proven IMO to be the right decision as one proposal is to cut max stakes from £100 a spin to £2! Still work to do, payments and Turkish business mentioned as next focus areas. All in all I am very happy with my investment here. | brownie69
08/2/2017 20:01 | Special dividend payment arriving on Valentines Day next week.Maybe Kenny is planning a treat for his wife. dyor, coxsmn | coxsmn
08/2/2017 19:12 | There we go, the 'red' day I was expecting, a whole entire...penny!So, I'm saying 700p by close of business Friday. | festario
08/2/2017 13:24 | Remember guys we have the Preliminary Results out on March 23rd, which should give the share price another boost, that is if the figures are as good as I expect them to be! | mylands
08/2/2017 11:50 | Mylands, "I feel we should be back to at least 780p, if not higher." - so do I, but realistically I very much doubt it will get there in a straight line... much as you might like it to. I'm using any potential pullbacks to increase my holding whenever I see what I perceive as an opportunity to do so. | woodhawk
08/2/2017 11:21 | I'm still adding,approaching 220k | shayadfn
08/2/2017 10:39 | Mylands, I completely agree.Hence why I will run the shares I bought between 590p and 603p well up into the 700's.Before I must eventually sell some to replace the savings I raided. When that is done, I'll end up with a sizeable amount of 'free shares' on top of my previous holding. | festario
08/2/2017 09:57 | Contrary to posts regarding a pause, I think the 'dramatic' retrace from 780p all the way down to 585p, in the space of three months, was greatly overdone and almost certainly driven by short selling. In the space of just over 4 months we have had four positive RNSs: 1. The interims on Sept 20th 2. Trading update and special div on November 2nd 3. Trading statement and increase in special div on December 15th. 4. Refinancing and trading update on February 2nd. After all those, I feel we should be back to at least 780p, if not higher. So I think we will test the previous high much sooner than others think. | mylands
08/2/2017 09:12 | velod, agreed we need a pause for breath before tackling 700p. I've top-sliced and will endeavor to accumulate during what I guess will be a brief retrace prior to the divi payment next week. | woodhawk
08/2/2017 09:01 | Something a bit iffy this morning. If it is to close with the first red day since the beginning of February (and it badly needs one to prevent it becoming 'toppy') then all is still on course with the current bull run if it closes no lower than 675p (Inmo). Lower than that will give me a long face. . . . To progress further with continued large strides, 688p is the interim ceiling that has to be hopped over - but slowing up anywhere between here and 688p-ish is also welcome. Close above 688p today and I will also have a long face. . . . The share price badly needs to take a 'breather'. Let it catch its breath. | velod
08/2/2017 08:57 | Excellent - as they also close out it should push the shares further. Muppets | trentendboy
08/2/2017 08:53 | WorldQuant have reduced their short position from 0.59% to 0.36%,which leaves only Marshall Wace with a reportable (over 0.50%) short position of 0.76%. | mylands
08/2/2017 08:44 | hxxp://calvinayre.co Certainly ploughing a lot into extra content.wonder whether this will hurt the bottom line | diviincomesearch
08/2/2017 08:04 | moving up again. | someuwin
07/2/2017 18:19 | Who cares!!! You don't know whether they're buys or sells, you don't know for sure when they actually occurred and you don't know what possible trades are in the pipeline in the next minute, hour, day or week... so why persist with this futile second-guessing? Nobert has sold truckloads of shares, at least twice, at prices that, in retrospect, make Gordon Brown look like a great gold bullion trader!! And he's an insider. It's all just noise. | woodhawk |
