24/1/2017 12:21 | When do we expect the year end results please. Yield going up! | plasybryn
24/1/2017 12:20 | Below £6 a share now. Serious selling pressure. All on end of year results now. If there are any issues in 3rd/4th quarter earnings then that's where they will be. Short of a big purchase of shares by the directors though, I don't think much can get us going in the near term. | diviincomesearch
24/1/2017 12:13 | Trying to figure where this is now heading. Way off there is a gap at 4.15-ish.... I hope not ! | redips2
24/1/2017 11:51 | The short positions in GVC have increased from virtually nil last October to 1.57% today | nurdin
24/1/2017 08:54 | Festario So have I and thank goodnes I haven't, it would have cost me! | mylands
24/1/2017 07:25 | Shay,Good for you.Keep investing in a quality company with great management,and excellent growth propects. | garycook
24/1/2017 06:39 | I'm happy sticking with GVC, I have increased my holding over last 3 months and looking to add further. | shayadfn
24/1/2017 01:00 | I've been tempted to short ASOS for ages now. | festario
23/1/2017 22:55 | tim Not sure what Uber etc p/e's are but I have always been amazed at ASOS. Currently on a p/e of 174, which defies belief when you look at the past four years of 'growth' in pre-tax profit in years ending 31st August: 2013 - £54 million 2014 - £47 million 2015 - £48 million 2016 - £43 million How can such a p/e be justified? | mylands
23/1/2017 19:05 | I'm not with you Tim? | festario
23/1/2017 18:11 | @ Tim, I think Trump agreed fully with your view when he explained "America First" ... as opposed to trying to hind behind morality bs | mnomis
22/1/2017 18:07 | Fwiw, I have never bought into the us morality argument, I think the fundamental issue was that the ownership of online gambling wasn't originally in the 'correct' hands with the original us issues over ? 7 years ago and protectionism came into play, however there is now the opportunity for the 'correct' ownership of us online gambling. This is a personal opinion and could be wrong, and should be read as completely speculative. I am as per previous posts long GVC. imho. | timanglin
22/1/2017 14:51 | Deregulation and America first policy could of course mean that the likes of Adelson may bid for GVC? | timanglin
22/1/2017 11:49 | I think Sheldon Adelson may have a stronger influence on Trump or should I say Homer | shayadfn
22/1/2017 10:55 | Deregulation seems to be high on the agenda, which can only help GVCs' US presence. The end of January marks an important milestone for GVC in that the 'credit card' rates of the old loan stop, there is less loan to pay off, and the interest rate of the new loan is a lot more affordable, which means more cash for the shareholders, or more cash to invest back into the business. Hopefully there are cost savings in the synergy of the old companies, which again will generate extra cash. Again hopefully the top management team, managing more than 2,300 employees, can continue to improve the revenue and profit trajectory. | timanglin
22/1/2017 10:12 | Anyone have any thoughts on the progress or otherwise of GVC, now that Homer Simpson's in the White House? | shayadfn
21/1/2017 20:03 | Worryingly ruthless | supermike1
20/1/2017 16:18 | Bear in mind that their clients aren't PI's but pension funds etc. This is from their website, so it could easily be down to different entities buying/selling in large quantities resulting in the holding company having to keep reporting: "Our investors rank among some of the world’s most sophisticated and high-profile institutions. They include pension plans, banks, mutual funds, insurance companies, fund-of-fund managers, endowments, foundations, charities, official institutions, sovereign wealth funds and government authorities." | jfishy55
20/1/2017 15:48 | jfishy55 Point taken, though the jump from 5.89% to 10% doesn't look like client buying to me but SL taking a big position. | mylands
20/1/2017 15:44 | It isn't Standard Life themselves that are buying but their clients. SL buys the holdings on behalf of their clients & the holdings are then held on their clients behalf. | jfishy55
20/1/2017 15:23 | You would have thought Standard Life would have either gone well above 10%, or well below, so as to stop having to inform the company that they had breached the 10% level. This time it was because they added 68k to a holding of over 29 million. Previously it was because they had sold 4k to take their holding down to 9.998%. Interestingly, even though we have had three RNSs from Standard Life about breaching the 10% level, the company still has them shown as only holding 5.89%. | mylands
