Correct GKP is worth a fortune :)Oilman66.Am I reading that correctly?Total want to sell 18% of 380 million barrels of gross 2p for up to $500 million.So that's what Total think it's worth.Or 68.4 million barrels for $500 million.Shaikan's current 2p number is 578 million barrels.A straight read across would value Shaikan at 578/68.4 x $500 million = $4.225 billion, minus an adjustment for quality difference.With an 80% Working Interest it works out at around $16 or 12 pounds a share.On the CURRENT 2p number.

I believe the Sarsang crude (Triassic) being produced is between 36°API and 41°API.

Shaikan crude (Jurassic) is currently ca 17°API...and getting heavier.

Straight read-across of values is impossible.

More evidence that hab SHAM isn't able to read, understand or do maths.

The company still only have 54% of the field. That's a net 332m. Subtract the number of barrels that have been produced since the CPR and that is likely to be anywhere between 40-50m. Then with the OW contact being much higher than expected and the reserve number could be around the 250m mark or less. Depending on the spin, jam tomorrow, we believe, hype.

ERBIL - The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Thursday evening dispatched a delegation to Baghdad for talks on the federal budget and Erbil's share from it.

The delegation, led by Awat Janab Noori, Minister of Finance and Economy, is expected to hold meetings with the Iraqi counterparts to discuss the budget bill for the year 2021, according to the information BasNews ha learned.

A group of UK lawmakers said on Friday as much as £50 billion ($67.4 billion) in cash was "missing," and it urged the Bank of England to investigate.

The money is "stashed somewhere but the Bank of England doesn't know where, who by or what for — and doesn't seem very curious," Meg Hillier, chair of the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee (PAC), which oversees government finances, said in a statement. "It needs to be more concerned about where the missing £50 billion is," she added.

Oil prices rose to a nine-month high and energy shares helped push the US stock market to a new record, after an agreement between Opec and Russia eased fears of oversupply.

Brent crude, the international benchmark, rose 0.6 per cent to $49.03 a barrel, having hit a high of $49.87 earlier in the day. US marker West Texas Intermediate climbed 0.85 per cent to $46.03.

On Thursday evening, Russia and Opec agreed to boost oil supply by 500,000 barrels a day from January, a figure that was a quarter of what they had planned previously.
