Nobody is going to invest in Kurdistan. GKP put itself up for sale...........the only Company that expressed an interest was DNO who offered a pittance for Shaikan. Shaikan - that has far more reserves than those of Genel.

Exxon are pulling out of Kurdistan. Nobody is coming in. Fact.

kMann - exactly. They are launching 20 new blocks and need investors. In order to do that, they must pay IOCs. No ifs or buts.

I get the feeling, given the volumes, retail PIs are just sitting on the sidelines waiting to see which direction the share price is heading. Meanwhile the bondholders (i.e. professionals) are sitting tight and the shorters have reduced in the past week. Plus we had this OPEC thingy a week ago, which has increased the POO significantly. Now I wonder if that event will increase or decrease our chances of regular payments?

When it does move, we'll no doubt have the usual stampede as everyone jumps onboard in panic, as they have in the past. Personally, given the fundamentals, I'll sit tight and wait for the value to out, as I'm sure it will......eventually.

want more......I am very happy to be holding over 200k of ophr from feb this year , and am not selling any until they hit my target, which is some way of. As for genl have over 100k of these and will give them till the spring to see what develops ,enjoy the ride.

I think some of you nned a translation service for the KRG's recent statements involving the next wave of investments.

TRANSLATED :
"Because we are soley an oil dependant ecconomy, we need to pump as much oil as possible. To do that we need MORE investment, but to get that we NEED to show that we pay our current IOCs on a regular and prompt basis, So from this point forward we WILL be paying our existing IOCs, ie Genel/DNO to prove and encourage more companies to invest in the as yet untapped "oil rich" lands of kurdistan, with a 75% strike rate.

If you havnt twigged that yet wait till next year, and 120+p

Its an oil company, they get paid EVERY month, they should start increasing production, the oil price is rising. What part of VALUE investing don't you get.
