19/7/2002 17:23 | Not in them - want to though. Bit worried they fall so much on little news though. Waiting for a sign of recovery. | cfor
19/7/2002 17:19 | At 26p mid-June, 19p at the beginning of July and now on 20th July price is 4p. It is a hell of a drop agreed. Still think its just a large seller dumping. Have you been holding these long? | hugepants
19/7/2002 16:48 | What the hell is the reason for this price drop then?? | cfor
19/7/2002 16:12 | Just checked back on trades in the last week. All look like buys execept a 100K sell at 7p on the 15th. Hardly a huge sell but clearly another going through now. Price was still 8.25p mid-price on Tuesday. | hugepants
19/7/2002 16:03 | Big buyers piling in now. Someone just bought 2.5K. | hugepants
19/7/2002 16:01 | Lets hope. Although sometimes its a mistake selling too quickly. Goal look like a decent company, with a good product that you can see immediately offers practical advantages over the current system. And a lot of the risk is removed by the cash-pile. Ditto DDD, I spent a few hours on their web-site and the technology looks phenomenal. It must have been for them to raise 7M in these markets. Will keep an eye on DDD. | hugepants
19/7/2002 15:52 | I was tempted by them at 3.5p - went out with the family for lunch, and got back with them at 5p - never mind. I was (and I'm sure you were) hoping for a similar jump today with GOA - let's hope for a tick-up on Monday a.m. to create a bit of interest. | colinscarr
19/7/2002 15:47 | Sold them. Found it hard to resist an 80% profit in 1 day. | hugepants
19/7/2002 15:44 | Do you still hold your DDD | colinscarr
19/7/2002 15:39 | Hey we're all real investors. Its like watching a baby grow. None of this short-term nonsense. | hugepants
19/7/2002 15:37 | Bit of a disappointing "bounce" so far - doesn't appear to be many people buying . | colinscarr
19/7/2002 15:35 | News fom the web-site. E-learning certainly sounds a good idea. ============= Improving School Effectiveness through DataRich Schools GOAL plc introduces the new School Continuous Improvement (SCI) Programme Following independent market research commissioned by GOAL, a new pupil-centred school performance improvement programme has recently been launched - the School Continuous Improvement (SCI) Programme. Built around the existing GOAL computer based assessment system, it includes the automatic production of intervention and development strategies for each individual and a wider variety of tests covering all subjects. Schools will continue to benefit from the reduction in teacher workloads as tests are automatically created and marked and now, all of the test information is presented at individual, whole class, key stage or whole school level - creating DataRich schools. Professor David Reynolds, CBE, Non-executive Director at GOAL said "Research has demonstrated that effective schools are those that generate high quality data, and that successfully convert it into useful information. The concept of DataRichness is more than merely the collection of data; education is awash with statistics, but they can only contribute to school effectiveness if they are converted to information and used. This is exactly what the SCI Programme has been designed to do." The Programme is a fully integrated and computerised system that has been designed to deliver benefits both to senior management teams and to classroom teachers. For senior managers, it provides data that can be aggregated to compare achievement in different subjects. It also provides information that can be used as part of a performance review system. Most significantly perhaps, it enables school performance to be measured against national performance in all of the main subjects. 19/7/2002 15:13 | It was only last Friday this jumped to 6.25p apparently on rumours of more contract wins with local education authorities. See nothingventured. No RNS so either deals not finalised, or they are not too significant financially. Or just rumours with no substance. | hugepants
19/7/2002 13:18 | just had a look on GOA history...and GOA was incorporated as Indian Union in 1961 and became a State of India in 1987. anyway its a lovely place now.....so i hear.............so one day i will take my family to visit GOA | psps
19/7/2002 13:13 | Goa was a Portugese colony for a very short time in history psps. It didn't belong to Portugal. But anyway.........it's Friday, I'm bored at work and just trying to liven my day up with a bit of not so subtle stirring :-) Hope you have a good weekend. | justaminute.com
19/7/2002 13:03 | HugePants - Just 10,000 at 4.31p | colinscarr
19/7/2002 11:33 | Tony, I work for 8 hours a day in front of a PC. The only good thing about that is I can play at the stockmarket! Bozzy, Been following these for a couple of days when I put them on my watchlist. The company's product actually looks good. Check the web-site. Perhaps Dore or Newman who each own 40% are selling some stock. | hugepants
19/7/2002 11:31 | Cheers for the postings Tony and Hugepants, especially about trades of 3000+ not being reported for 2 hours. That explains why my buy hasn't appeared. So basically, only trades of £130 or less will appear straight away. Surely not many people are dealing with less than 3000 shares, so there is a lot to be reported. I think Goal is a gem, with products in a GROWTH market. Surely internet learning will take off at some point in the future, and Goal will be there to benefit. I'm in for the long term! | bozzy_s
19/7/2002 11:25 | 3.88p Hugepants, better price than I got (I paid something like 4.3p). Hope the spread narrows before too long. Have you been following these for long? Is it normal to have a spread of 40% ish? | bozzy_s
19/7/2002 11:24 | HugePants, thought you would be lurking here. The fall this morning seems quite dramatic. Problem with this stock is poor liquidity. NMS is 500 shares, so buying and selling in quantity may present problems. Also any "O" trade over 6*NMS ie 3000 shares will not be reported for at least 2 hours. One would suspect that there may be a large sell order to fill in the pipeline. Good Luck | tony14
19/7/2002 11:12 | jimbo11, major Shareholders: 1p Ords - Equitable Life Assurance Soc 3.95%, W N Dore 40.82%, D G Newman CBE 40.82%, Other Dirs 0.37%. WN Dore is the biggest holder and he's a non-exec. | hugepants

19/7/2002 11:07 | I've just bought some of these, but the trade isn't showing on ADVFN. Any ideas why? | bozzy_s
19/7/2002 10:22 | A 46% drop this morning! Anyone heard anything?????? | growbag |
