19/7/2002 10:01 | psps - I think you'll find that Goa has always been in India - it wasn't 'given' to them. | justaminute.com
19/7/2002 09:53 | For background info on this company check the web-site at www.goalplc.co.uk ==================== GOAL was established in January 2000 to develop and market an assessment system for teachers to measure pupil performance and progress. Using internet technology the assessments are available on demand and are easy to use and fun for the pupils. It already has 750 schools in England and Wales as customers. Teachers claim the tests are not only easier to administer and more practical than traditional methods but that the system gives them access to individual pupil data that aids them in more effective lesson planning. Delivered over the Internet, the multiple-choice tests comprise questions selected from an extensive database to match an individual pupil's levels of attainment. These are then marked and sent to the school within minutes, together with an in-depth analysis of each pupil's strengths and weaknesses. The assessments indicate National Curriculum level performance and enable teachers to set realistic attainment targets, accurately measure progress and maximise a student's potential. | hugepants
19/7/2002 09:30 | Bought 50K at 3.88p. Large seller clearly dumping. | hugepants
19/7/2002 09:28 | hugepants, have you bought any today? | tonyx
19/7/2002 09:26 | Maybe, but last director's purchase was in Decemeber when the chairman bought 15K of shares at 70p! Recent options are exerciseable at 60-70p. Very risky yes but plenty of time to see how things develop. This isn't going belly up anytime soon. | hugepants
19/7/2002 09:22 | there 'avin a larf them MM's....Goal and DDD have both been shatfted over the last month....despite recent rises in both I dont trust the market to keep them high and will probably get the same treatment as Overnet.... But HugeP's, credit is due if u took a punt on DDD and it paid off, this may well rise monday but v. risky | guineyes
19/7/2002 09:16 | Fri 12 Jul 2002(74417) LONDON (ShareCast) - Goal jumped 1.25p to 6.75p on whispers that the support services business is likely to win more contracts with local education authorities, the Telegraph says | hugepants
19/7/2002 09:13 | tonyx, OK.........buddy most of my shares down today | psps
19/7/2002 09:12 | psps, No worries mate! | tonyx
19/7/2002 09:11 | After DDD Im on a roll. hopefully! Goal create online software for schools for testing and assessment. So testing done over the Internet and results sent to the teacher immediately. Allows structured lessons for kids to focus on specfic areas of weakness etc. You get the idea. Sounds like an ideal Internet application. number of shares = 25M. Options non-dilutive. Net cash 3M = 12p Lost 2M (8p per share) last year to end of March on turnover of 600K However, from the final results, in the 2 months to end of May this year , turnover is already 725K. So profitability may not be imminent but looks as though losses should at least be severely reduced this year. If reduced to 4p then still have 8p cash at end of March 2003. Looks a worthwhile punt although someone clearly dumping stock. | hugepants
