24/7/2015 17:52 | TBM, There are 30m+ shares worth at most 5p apiece waiting to come out. Lubby Jubbly. SC | simon cawkwell
24/7/2015 17:51 | However those shorts that did close only shifted the short position to the MM. | ten bag man
24/7/2015 17:50 | You must be on a wind up. | elcapital
24/7/2015 17:46 | GATE is unlike any other share the shorters have gone after to date. First it's not gone bust nor is it going to. Second no new shares have been issued. Third it looks like ALL the shares are in the hands of the Chinese. Fourth I have a good idea their may be 20% undelivered shares that do not and never have been issued, in the MM / Brokers back offices, waiting to be cleared through the delivery system. Fifth Shorters have had various ways of getting out of their positions in the past. The GATE is not open for those schemes with this share. Sixth The shorters have done deals with various parties with the intention of making massive profits. The counter parties also want to make a profit. The counter party also has costs / overheads and more to the point, risk. That party holds each and every card up to delivery of the shares. Seventh Time is not on the side of the shorters. What is very clear is the shorters battle is now NOT with the company. That stage is over. END OF. The shorters now have to find a way to close their short position. That can only be done two ways. One: they get stock from the company at an agreed price,( let's say a fiver.) Two: the get stock from a existing shareholder. On de listing that is one way to deal with the situation. However it fails if all the shares are held by investors in China who will not sell, (or who form a group and fix a fair price so they all end up happy.(Lets say a fiver) One more issue is if the various shorters break ranks. I talked about this when the shares were still trading, some shorters seemed to have taken it on board and bought back shares to cover their shorts. They must be very smug right now (even after taking a hit of ten or twenty times their bet.) | ten bag man
24/7/2015 17:21 | I am on the fence with that. I think we can rule out the FSA. ( no shareholder has lost money ) I think we can rule out the Chinese. | ten bag man
24/7/2015 16:48 | TBM, GATE is certainly a scam which I think should lead to criminal prosecutions here in London - although I grant you that they are fairly unlikely given the FCA's persistent inability to understand anything ever - let alone on time. Simon Cawkwell | simon cawkwell
24/7/2015 14:18 | You have made two points. ONE: The chance of a grey market opening up TWO: signing a disclaimer. None of those will work if their are no sellers. If it's a scam and 100% of the shares are held in China things don't look good | ten bag man
24/7/2015 14:12 | You have been told how it works, I have explained ages ago and so has Simon Cawkwell. Read, learn, and I will test you later. | elcapital
24/7/2015 14:04 | Elcapital, it's not about buying it's about delivery of shares that investors have contracted to buy. This has nothing to do with any shorting. | ten bag man
24/7/2015 14:01 | How many times.....you are a moron. NOBODY will buy shares at anywhere near three quid. If you are lucky you might get twenty pence | elcapital
24/7/2015 14:01 | NEW WORLD OIL got out of this tight spot by issuing millions of new shares. GATE has issued no new shares. | ten bag man
24/7/2015 13:57 | Let's start with the real number of shares in issue. 34.760,768 However for the shares to have risen 30 fold we can assume that their were far more buys than sells over the last few months. Let's take a view that the MM have been caught 20% short over the last 4 months. After all, we all agree it was a record in such a short time. More that one MM so, I would have a stab that they are 5% short each. At the start of trading the MM would have had Zero stock to make a market and if buys came in as they did on day one, it did not take long for the price to rise. This is nothing to do with the shorters it's just an issue with your broker, back to the market to deliver as per the contract, settlement on day 3. The fist action is for these contracted shareholders to get their stock. The LSE put its foot down on this subject with the "NEW" WORLD OIL shares a few months back. All the above can now be sorted today, with the broker paying shareholders of undelivered shares £3.20 or more. ( they should have bought in the shares long ago, at ever higher prices) after all the MM are in the risk game and can set their price for any size over the order book. I would make sure if the MM has not delivered your stock you get onto the case today. If ( due to the MM not buying in when he could have done) he can not deliver just take the £3.20 or demand what you think you could have made over time from the shares. | ten bag man
24/7/2015 12:51 | very sad. A simple lesson in business I utilise is never do any business with a tiddlywink. | bustedflush2
24/7/2015 12:49 | I was saying that when they were three quid a share and still trading | elcapital
24/7/2015 12:48 | Just been told that shareholders of this tripe will get nothing back. | bustedflush2
24/7/2015 12:46 | Have you got at least 1 share ? | ramas
24/7/2015 11:26 | Hell, after just one day a shorter is trying to get hold of stock by any means. !! | ten bag man
24/7/2015 11:18 | How many shares you got TBM ? | ramas
24/7/2015 09:20 | I repeat, you are a total idiot. | elcapital
24/7/2015 09:15 | AIM has washed its hands of GATE : All that is required now is for the market to deliver on the contracts of those who bought shares over the last four months. If I bought at say 12P I would agree with the MM ( through the broker ) to take the £3.20P and call it a day. Others might want that and a bit more. | ten bag man
24/7/2015 08:36 | I am posting this to help any shorter of GATE shares look for Chinese holders of the stock. 1,393,783,836 The population of China is estimated at 1,393,783,836 as of July 1 2014. China's population is equivalent to 19.24% of the total world population. | ten bag man |
