Good to see this resurgence in interest in the share price I haven't been in this for a while, but I'm thinking for your posts it has more to do with the energy side than the gas boiler..?

Re, the chart, a brief look suggest that there is resistance at 20. Current recovery looks like a repeat of 2013, which had the share price coming off similar lows. Dipped quite a bit just below the 20p mark, before going onto rise to new 2014 highs.

I was put off by this when FLOW said our property was not appropriate for the boiler. Didn't take it personally of course (!)but just thought the market for such a producr might be rather self-limiting.#

But wdik.

There are a lot of customers still coming off big six deals...I am not so concerned at their ability to attract more customers from the fat 6 ,more concerned that their current infrastructure will limit their expansion without a big centre upgrade or new centre .there could be some chopping and changing amongst the independents (such as your good self) but if they can keep their cost base down and have financing effective (shell) then they should be able to stay highly competitive and continue to enjoy good margins.

Thanks kooba, that's useful. Though, I have two thoughts: first, it's easy to write new business if you kill your margin; second, the "stickiness" of new customers (who might be more online-savvy and willing to switch in the first place) might vary, and the customer pool that's coming over might be more price sensitive. I mention this because I switched from Ovo (very happy with them, great service, online offering, and general experience). My fixed rate deal came to an and and Flow were >£100 cheaper, so took the opportunity to kick the tyres!

So 29th April is the results day then

Guess we will just have to wait one month to see is all good progress or a lot of spin. Heres hoping for the former but have been stung here a few times by the latter...

I am expecting further listings and corporate activity in the sector...which should reaffirm these kind of values.Maybe flowenergy will be involved??Think First utility a large independent is still looking at a float which would be an interesting benchmark.

Believe Yu have less than 2000 customers!A nearer comparison maybe would be OVO which is private company with

The previous poster £300 per single and my £500 dual fuel pricing per customer are valuation estimates that I have been given by industry sources...there are not many independents floated to do a direct comparison but believe there has been private M&A deals backing up these levels...one would also say that the rate of growth of customer base would also have a big influence on valuation...flow seems to have a highly attractive package and is growing strongly.A company specialising in the SME market was recently floated and although not a direct customer comparison...pros and cons in that market and certainly could justify higher per customer valuations...but not much!http://www.cityam.com/236603/yu-energy-a-gas-and-electricity-company-aimed-at-providing-services-to-smes-ipo-oversubscribed-after-it-announced-its-intention-to-float-on-the-london-stock-exchange-last-month

PS Have just switched to Flow Energy dual fuel (having been a shareholder here since the summer) and note that their pricing is very competitive.

Do you have a reference for "Industry value on dual fuel more like £500 per customer"? Just re-visiting my valuation here and would appreciate this. Many thanks,

I am one too and have to say was very impressed with the switch process and communications ... all very efficient. Would agree with earlier post that new customer rate will slow down ... it is competitive out there. That said, the Shell deal was a game changer for Flow. Market hasnt really caught up with this I dont think.

90 % of those customer dual fuel I understand.. Industry value on dual fuel more like £500 per customer .Not sure they have the capacity to maintain this growth even though demand certainly there...target 250k -300k year end .Dyor.

170,000 Energy customers.
That's 70,000 new customers since the beginning of the year.

If this continues 380,000 by year end.
@ £300 per customer = £114m value - for the energy business

Just looked at 3 year chart....end 2013/early 2014 - price went straight through 20p and minor resistance at 30p for a couple of days then onto the 38p/40p level...all this happened within a week or so....chart now seems similar to the 2013/14 move....where will we be upto by the end of this week and month?
