09/3/2017 17:04 | Not sure you noticed QP but the share price is up 4% on the day. If this is in spite of the "appalling operating environment" then I'm excited to see what it will be like in a couple of weeks when the ATC strike is ancient history. On a less negative note - oil price seems to have really sparked a frenzy today with the airlines. Let's hope the market carries this one up to where it realistically should be. My long term target is staying at 1500p. | madasahattersley
09/3/2017 16:21 | Another really bad day for delays/cancellations due to the French ATC strike. Flightaware statistics as at 16.20hrs EasyJet -Delays 449 and cancellations 44 This week of disruption is going to impact negatively on the whole sector. Not positive and again highlighting the appalling operating environment. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
09/3/2017 15:25 | This has not yet had a few days of good rises in as long as I can remember, I can't remember the last time it rose 40p or more in a day either, hopefully we will get both | csmwssk12hu

EasyJet 333 delays and 53 cancellations Wednesday 8th (as at 16.45hrs) EasyJet 287 delays and 37 cancellations. Yet despite that ....... Thursday 8th (as of 10:42am) SHARES UP UP UP by 2.9% !!! 09/3/2017 07:59 | What a sad lonely life QuePassa must live. Trawling the internet day after day looking for doom and gloom. Is their anybody else quite as sad on ADVFN? | tlobs2
09/3/2017 07:31 | Interesting Vueling net 48 routes stopped in 2017 over 2016. Then we have poor old Monarch hanging in there but in my opinion just cannot compete at these seat price levels with their higher costs. Ryanair and Easy squeezing them out. Won't be long for real pricing power to return | mastey
08/3/2017 20:11 | Todavia una mierda | phillis
08/3/2017 19:41 | Well, let's hope for everybody's sake that the strikes are ceased sooner rather than later and that you are right. But the rise and rise of populist politics in Europe seems, generally speaking, to be fuelling increasing industrial action in the form of employee strikes and trade union unrest. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
08/3/2017 19:12 | QP quite agree this ATC strike by the French is not great however public opinion in France is waning as the disruption is hurting the French in a big way ( drill down to the actual cancelled flights ). Due to this being greater than just a one day strike the EU etc are focusing on stopping this. Would much prefer seeing French flights canceled at this time of year that the summer day strikes ( like last year) that effect all airlines at the busiest , most profitable time . This is the French militants last stand !! | mastey
08/3/2017 18:29 | Post 5437. Two days ago. Phillis - "Hilarious Strike on and shares up nearly 2%" Three days into a swingeing 5 day French ATC strike and I wonder whether this sewer-mouthed female thinks it is hilarious now. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa

08/3/2017 16:53 | Let's look at facts. Let's just look at what the French ATC strike has done this week. ALL INFO PROVIDED FROM FLIGHTAWARE statistics: Monday 6th. EasyJet 425 delays and 57 cancellations Tuesday 7th. EasyJet 333 delays and 53 cancellations Wednesday 8th (as at 16.45hrs) EasyJet 287 delays and 37 cancellations. and the French strike is not over yet. The operating environment for the sector is unrelentingly bad and a 5 day French ATC strike is causing travel mayhem for tens of thousands of passengers and is further hard evidence of the massive challenges faced by the sector. You see the problem is that no Chairman of any airline however good he may be, can control the operating environment. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
08/3/2017 12:33 | That would be the fiction from the company that all is bullish since the share price was decimated? Who'd have thought it, a bullish ceo/chairman? I am sure you have heard of the greater fool theory. We are blessed on here to have the greatest fool amongst us. | pengitwat
08/3/2017 12:25 | I thought that you'd like to see facts rather than the fiction that you were being fed.... | tlobs2
08/3/2017 12:19 | Oh look. The font of no knowledge has piped up rather quickly. | pengitwat
08/3/2017 12:15 | Yet more guesswork. This is what the Chairman actually stated recently Speaking at the Company's Annual General Meeting in Luton today, John Barton, Chairman of easyJet plc, said: "The Board would like to thank our shareholders for their continued support. The Board would also like to thank all of easyJet's people who are central to the delivery of the airline's success. They help create easyJet's unique and winning combination of Europe's best route network, great value fares and our famous friendly service. "Through the continued delivery of easyJet's successful strategy and our relentless focus on cost the airline is on track to deliver further long term sustainable profitable growth for shareholders.
