that's minus 150p in just six weeks - the amount EZJ has fallen since its recent January peak of 1080p.

and certain investors think that's good going.

it's not

- and in my view likely to get much worse in the course of 2017.

I think you will find there are always events similar to this each year. Whether it be weather related or those Frenchy's going on strike a couple of times a year to the volcano issue a few years ago.

But they all survived and carried on flying, so please stop being a tool QP

One can but speculate how costly yesterday's massive cancellations and delays were for EasyJet. But it is going to hit their bottom line hard.

Hundreds of thousands, if not millions in refunds probably for all the cancellations alone in my guess.It's going to impact their February profitability at a time of enormous sector weakness.

A very negative event- and coming at a time when seat discounting is already punishing profitability.

Just doesn't get easier within this embattled sector where prospects look bleaker and bleaker in my view.

ADVFN now rank EasyJet at 118th slot by market cap. Prospects of crashing out of the prestigious FTSE100 this year look increasingly likely in my view.

I also think that the dividend will be cut this year given that it is a PAYOUT RATIO linked to profitability.

My guess is that this share has a lot further to fall in 2017.

The incident at Amsterdam hit a number of Easy flights over and above Ryan. The general strike in Italy effected Easy as they fly to the main hub airports in Milan. The IOM was hit re Doris to name just a few

EasyJet Cancelled 78, Delayed 429
BA Cancelled 61, Delayed 334
Ryan Cancelled 5, Delayed 152


A very expensive day for the airlines.

Still no answer for the vast difference in delays/cancellations between Ryan and Easy.
