08/2/2017 11:18 | Significantly increasing shorts over less than a month indicate in my opinion that certain professional traders believe the share price has further to fall. RyanAir's Q3 Update yesterday about the deleterious state of the short haul market underscores the growing problems in the sector. It does not surprise one that shorts are significantly increasing again. Certain investors are waiting for the dividend and once x-d, it would seem likely that certain investors may sell holdings which will add further weakness to an already falling share price. ALL IMO. 08/2/2017 10:33 | By January 11th 2017, the total amount of disclosable shorts on EasyJet PLC had fallen to 1.55%. As at 3rd. Feb 2017, disclosable short positions had MORE THAN DOUBLED to 3.65%. It is interesting to note the direction of travel of significantly increasing disclosable short positions during the period of less than one month. On the face of concrete evidence over the last month, it would appear that short positions are increasing again. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
08/2/2017 10:10 | Short .... Citadel Advisors LLC 0.60% ↑ 0.10% 2017-01-31 Citadel Europe LLP 1.45% ↑ 0.34% 2017-01-26 OLD MUTUAL GLOBAL INVESTORS (UK) LTD 0.80% ↑ 0.10% 2017-02-03 WorldQuant, LLC 0.80% ↑ 0.07% 2017-02-03 Total 3.65% It looks like they were praying for bad news in the January passenger figures which didn't materialise. 3.65% is quite a significant amount of shares and that's just the top four listed. Those are four pretty large positions that will need to close at some point in the future. Not to mention the ex-div date which is just a couple of weeks away. So Andy feel free to pile in and load up your short before it starts to rise again. | tlobs2

07/2/2017 07:18 | I am sure most passengers will be able to contain themselves from having a tube of 5 euro pringles on their flight to Benidorm. | andy pipkin
06/2/2017 08:57 | Not sure about the above, Michael O'Leary still believes that he will be able to reduce fares practically to zero, on the basis that he will charge more for sundry items, that is becoming a larger and larger part of their revenue, after all he must be almost the point whereby he will receive a portion of the car parking charge from the airports authority where his planes are flying to and fro from. in terms of the sheer volume of passengers Ryanair now flies they must have increasing clout over the actual revenue at the airport itself! It's a case of how much capacity EZJ has added, load factor admittedly is the key, in part due to above, revenue from ticket prices plays a lower role in overall net profit! | bookbroker
06/2/2017 08:25 | Ps short at this level at your peril | mastey
06/2/2017 08:24 | Well what I posted re my Stansted experience bearing out. Ryanair cost cutting in % terms not a interesting number as it's just pennies . Also as their fairs are already cut to the bone when a ticket falls a few pounds it's high percentage of their fare. So pleased to read the easy numbers post my findings on their fares so much higher than Ryanair but load factor up. I was worried it might have fallen as the price differential increases. Clearly the brand value is their , timings better etc .this will all bear out very soon . | mastey

06/2/2017 08:10 | LOL the QuePassa and nigelpm show once again. Quepassa why do you persist in posting under different names? If you are wondering why Ryanair are struggling it's probably because EasyJet are making more of their old customers comfortable !!!! | tlobs2
06/2/2017 07:59 | Up 15% in Dec. 2016, didn't make any difference!! | bookbroker
