I see the MF changing its stance somewhat. I know you are a great exponent of their reports, so thought important to post link.

A long way to go for a fat bloke sat in economy Andy.

Get well soon.

I imagine that the other passengers looked horrified when they saw you waddling down the aisle :-)

As for the MF we highlighted the error of their ways the other day. It looks like it was written by one of the office juniors on work experience. By the way if they really did know their stuff they probably wouldn't be working there!

If they really knew their stuff they would have predicted the 2.5% rise in share price today ;-)

Morning all.
Just about to walk the dog. Not looked at this thread for a couple of weeks - interesting to catch up.
Voldemort is clearly a nut job. He accuses people of ranting, and resorts to all sorts of personal attacks, but if you read the thread objectively, you'll see he is always the prime mover of any particularly nasty exchange.
I still think he's a paid stooge for a brokerage, but wtfdik?
This share keeps on giving......

Thing is after Xmas is when the share price will rise as its plastered all over news about airport numbers, the reason they know these figures is they will be supplied by airlines with already booked seats, I know a few people who went away last year in October and November who put this year off to Xmas as they can have two weeks due to timing of schools, expecting December figures to be very good, probably why iag and easyjet had a good day today despite fuel costs and currency all imho dyor

Record numbers set to take to the skies for Christmas and New Year’s

Increasing numbers of Britons will take advantage of a ‘Weekend Christmas’ by jetting off to pastures new for their festivities, according to data released today by Gatwick Airport. With both Christmas and New Year falling on a weekend for the first time in five years, more passengers than ever before will take to the skies for an extended holiday.

Passenger numbers at the airport are expected to be 34% higher on Christmas Eve than on the same day last year, with total traffic in the lead up to and including Christmas Day predicted to be up 12% on last year. The busiest single day for the airport will be Friday 23rd December, when passengers flying into and out of London Gatwick are expected to be up by almost a fifth (18%). Even passenger numbers on Christmas Day, typically the quietest day for travelling over the festive period, are predicted to be 25% higher than last year.

Furthermore, an increasing number of Brits are set to take to the skies around the New Year period, with a 22% increase from 2015 to 2016 on the 30th December, and a 32% increase on the 31st.
Top destinations for passengers flying out over the Christmas period are below, with Los Angeles entering the top ten long-haul list for the first time ever, joined by new route Cape Town which in its first year as a destination from Gatwick is already in the Christmas top ten of long-haul routes.

Top ten Christmas long-haul destinations
Dubai
Bridgetown
Orlando
New York
Toronto
Cancun
Las Vegas
Montego Bay
Los Angeles
Cape Town

Top ten Christmas short-haul destinations
Dublin
Geneva
Barcelona
Amsterdam
Belfast
Madrid
Tenerife
Copenhagen
Milan
Malaga

Thousands of staff at Gatwick will work on December 25th to ensure passengers a safe and seamless experience as they set off across the globe.

Gatwick Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer Guy Stephenson said, “For the first time in years, both Christmas and New Years Eve have fallen on a weekend, meaning more Brits will be waving goodbye to 2016 from afar.

“Here at Gatwick, we have an incredibly dedicated team of people who will be giving up their own Christmases in order to ensure our passengers go safely on their way, as they would on any other day of the year.

“This has been another record-breaking year for the airport and it seems only fitting that we end it with an equally strong festive period.”

yes with prices starting from Euro20 per seat. - And who says that EasyJet are being forced to compete on low prices with RyanAir?

But they aren't going to make much money on those prices.

And probably the reason for another desperation email extending their offer of £20 to the Canaries for another day.

You simply have no understanding of how EasyJet operate do you?

Whilst you have spent all day posting garbage and negativity the share price has risen by over 2.2% today.

What an utter waste of space you are....

And more from The Motley Fool:-

"That, of course, is the boom and bust nature of a sector where major players increase supply exponentially during the good years only for this optimism to bite them in the behind when cyclical demand inevitably falls."

How apt. But extremely worrying.

Looks to me like risks are weighted significantly to the DOWNSIDE at this difficult time in the cycle where over-enthusiasm and extreme competition to grab market share have led to rampant excess capacity.
