24/2/2012 20:38 | I have added a lot today - results soon and mood still positive in the US. THIs can get to 450p over the next month and stil be good value on good results | silverfern
24/2/2012 13:37 | Good to see Diploma building a base around 400p. Certainly still buyers around. | quantumx
13/2/2012 10:05 | well you'll be rolling your short over methinks. Market may be overbought but ther must be better stocks than this to short. Diploma is not over priced for it's current performance inho. | silverfern
09/2/2012 16:44 | Cheers. falling back. Market in general is coming to a top I believe and all high beta stocks which are overbought will be hit first. Theirs no denying on the lower indicators the stock is looking like it will fall back. Just a matter of being patient hopefully. Certainly a technical short. | mechanical trader
09/2/2012 10:08 | Good luck with the bet. | quantumx
09/2/2012 09:56 | Gone short looks technically overbought and oscilators are pointing to this. 360p share price Target Initially | mechanical trader
03/2/2012 13:03 | Hmmm. It probably did get a little bit ahead of itself over just one day. Just so long as it doen't now plummet to earth! | quantumx
02/2/2012 21:15 | DPLM seems to fly under most people's radar. It's not so cheap that the value investors want in, and growth isn't so big that it attracts the growth investors. It's not a glamour company. It's not large enough to attract big-cap investors, or small enough to attract investors who like tiddlers. | blippy2
02/2/2012 02:18 | The only time I have topped up my original purchase was in 2008, during the credit crunch at the giveaway price of 147. | gco1133a
01/2/2012 23:56 | Yes, I bought my first holding in 2006 too and didn't have the gumption to buy more until January 2011. It's something about the psychology of investing that you're so busy looking for the 'next big thing' you often ignore what's under your nose! | jeffian
01/2/2012 22:53 | I too, have held for just over 10 years. Now if the they repeat the same performance over the next ten years.... | gco1133a
01/2/2012 22:35 | Hi Jeffian, I have held DPLM pretty much since Nov 06, so not new to the share but obviously haven't contributed to this board. I see a quiet board as a good sign!! | cockerhoop
01/2/2012 19:33 | Blimey! Never seen so many new faces. I thought it was just me and silverfern following this one! 8-) | jeffian
01/2/2012 19:08 | Investor day presentation: | cockerhoop
01/2/2012 17:27 | I've held for a long time. Bought in at 45p 10 years ago. | quantumx
01/2/2012 17:17 | @quantumx Me too. It sure is a comfortable share to hold. No need for quick flipping. | blippy2
01/2/2012 17:06 | Shame the rest of my investments aren't as lively as DPLM. Happy to hold. | quantumx
01/2/2012 16:53 | Must have been a damn good investors day to send the price up 8%. | blippy2
01/2/2012 13:37 | Well they got to my target price quicker than I thought they would. Would be good to see a base above 400p. Good luck all. QX | quantumx
01/2/2012 09:45 | and agaiN so I bought some more. run your winners | silverfern
26/1/2012 11:43 | Touched 400p there for a second :-) | philanderer
24/1/2012 13:32 | Time to build a firm platform now for further growth. | quantumx
22/1/2012 20:49 | The Herald (Scotland) ".... life sciences group Diploma is likely to produce good news at an investors' day scheduled for February 1." | philanderer
20/1/2012 12:39 | Buying DPLM is to a large extent buying into a US recovery. I think that will happen this year, not least because it's election year and it wil be four eyars since BUsh loast out in the 'austerity' election and Obama knows what it will mean if he cannot resurrect some feel good in the econmy. Of course it ain't that simple! but if any com[pany can gro win the US it is Diploma | silverfern
19/1/2012 23:08 | Yeah you make good points guys, still i'm hoping it might return to the long-term trend line (something like 340 might be nice), feels like i could be a bit exposed if i bought in here and the wider market topped out for now. 299 was my price too and i even had it up on a trading screen. We'll see, i'll watch and wait eh, maybe i'll get what feels like the right moment :) | chrisb1103 |
