Hello? Cracking trading update. Consensus forecasts probably equated to around 23.5p eps - 12.8x PER - and they now say they are materially ahead. I've been in these for some time and often can't bring myself to add when the share price has already performed strongly, but I made an exception in this case and added a few weeks ago. Happy I did.

I'm not always persuaded that Directors' share purchases are a buy signal, but this one was at least more than a token amount.

Latest consensus forecast is 18.4p rising to 20.5p next year so a PE of 15 dropping to 13.6 next year at 280p. Fairly valued on those metrics but knowing them, there's a good chance they'll be ahead of market expectations.

Now trading at over 19x 2009 'adjusted' eps (over 26x basic eps), I was wondering whether these were getting a bit overheated. In July we had the Trading Update saying "the Directors now expect the Group's adjusted profit before tax* to be ahead of market consensus expectations of £28.8m". At, say, £30m/17.4p eps, that comes down to a PER of 16.26x (still quite hot for a wholesale distributor?) and on 10 September they announced two acquisitions saying "The Board expects both acquisitions to be immediately earnings enhancing for the Group". Anyone else following these and have a view on how far they could go?

Quite agree. Over a two bagger for me and one of my biggest holdings. Very well run company.

It always makes me laugh that loss-making penny stocks attract thousands of posts on these bb's but companies like this get no attention at all. Cracking IMS, cracking trading performance, cracking balance sheet stuffed with cash, good eps and divi growth and great chart.

Jeffian- nope, sold out last year but as you can see, I do watch and learn. GOt into gold so did the right hting. As did you! Excellent management will always deliver.
