The Group does not need to actually shift the revenue into the UK, and realise the currency into sterling. It is purely and accounting impact (expect for Health DIvision) "The Group's businesses continue to deliver strong underlying performance across all three sectors and there will be a modest contribution from acquisitions completed during the year. However, results are being held back by the significant adverse currency movements"

GIven 7% growth expected and the lack of certainty that currency rates will remain exactly as they are I see this as a buying opp, and have bought more (at 668p) though I am disappointed at the MM reaction.

Good to see this 'fish' swimming so vigorously (up 5% plus) against the current of a falling market (down 0.5%). I wonder why - any thoughts anyone? Long may it continue.

A trading update in two weeks should show, further cash generation and new business form the newly acquired Finnish based company and business growing in line with the general global recovery. Maybe an acquisition? Who knows - they have the cash.

Seems to be consistent buying at these levels by others so following the herd. Has it been tipped by one of the Thursday investor mags? Last edit: I see a buy of 30k shares went through at 774p

I have added this morning. I think the company is a likely takeover target as it stands, as well of course as doing what it does very well

Yes, a follow on in Russia of the success in Alaska would be very nice indeed!

For the quarter, fx headwinds appear greater than I expected, but operating margins appear to have held up better than I expected. Overall EPS expectations of around 36p for this FY and 40 next appear well founded.

A steady quarter. Looks like Russia is going to be a cash cow!

Added a few on this mornings dip. If the normal pattern repeats itself it will move up from here. A steady long term hold, the Goldman Sachs target of 810p will do nicely as a start.

Well I sold at 600p Jeff and I could buy back in at those levels six months later. IN the interim I bought an oil field in BRazil and they needed the land for the World Cup so I mad a bit on that and then invested the lot in Xfactor winner futures....

Good question, very unusual for Diploma.
As to whether there's anything to it who knows - would have thought the pe was a bit high for someone to try and build a big stake in it but the price has been very strong for a while now.

What's-up? Two late-in-the-day price monitoring announcements and some significant price movements. Am I being over-sensitive or are there some moves afoot - anybody, any thoughts?

Decent enough update, good to see growth improving from the 2% earlier in the year with moves back towards the 6% long term guidance. Seemed to imply with the net cash to expect an acquisition.

They made a presentation to North American investors yesterday about their Canadian and Australian Healthcare businesses.

I think we can assume it went well!
