Seems to be consistent buying at these levels by others so following the herd. Has it been tipped by one of the Thursday investor mags? Last edit: I see a buy of 30k shares went through at 774p

I have added this morning. I think the company is a likely takeover target as it stands, as well of course as doing what it does very well

Yes, a follow on in Russia of the success in Alaska would be very nice indeed! For the quarter, fx headwinds appear greater than I expected, but operating margins appear to have held up better than I expected. Overall EPS expectations of around 36p for this FY and 40 next appear well founded.

A steady quarter. Looks like Russia is going to be a cash cow!

Added a few on this mornings dip. If the normal pattern repeats itself it will move up from here. A steady long term hold, the Goldman Sachs target of 810p will do nicely as a start.

Well I sold at 600p Jeff and I could buy back in at those levels six months later. IN the interim I bought an oil field in BRazil and they needed the land for the World Cup so I mad a bit on that and then invested the lot in Xfactor winner futures....

Good question, very unusual for Diploma. As to whether there's anything to it who knows - would have thought the pe was a bit high for someone to try and build a big stake in it but the price has been very strong for a while now.

What's-up? Two late-in-the-day price monitoring announcements and some significant price movements. Am I being over-sensitive or are there some moves afoot - anybody, any thoughts?

Decent enough update, good to see growth improving from the 2% earlier in the year with moves back towards the 6% long term guidance. Seemed to imply with the net cash to expect an acquisition.

They made a presentation to North American investors yesterday about their Canadian and Australian Healthcare businesses. http://www.investegate.co.uk/diploma-plc--dplm-/rns/investor-event/201309100700034620N/ I think we can assume it went well!

I always thought you'd be here forever - like me! 8-) Edit: I've admitted before - if not here then on other threads - I'm a terrible seller. Shares which I've sold out of - albeit at a profit - include FOUR, James Fisher, Next and Persimmon and they've all multi-bagged from my sale price. I now try to filter out wider market conditions and not second-guess where the 'top' may be for any particular share, but just hang onto it through thick and thin as long as the company itself is doing the right things - growing revenues, profits, earnings per share and dividends - as DPLM seems to do. If it moves sideways or even goes down for a while, I just pocket the divis and wait for things to catch up again.

Nothing wrong here as ever, just as you say whether the price now fully reflects the business, which I think it does. Btw, I sold Telecity four weeks ago having made 10%. Now in PFC.
