02/10/2008 13:31 | 83p drop on DVWA is it technical? | praipus
02/10/2008 13:31 | Can anyone tell me what the yield is on DVWA? | praipus
21/8/2008 23:54 | Can't see why DVW needs to pump water anywhere. Lake Bala is far higher than Wrexham and Chester. | scribbler101
21/8/2008 21:46 | going to have a good look at these. ty for thread. | ducatiman
21/8/2008 21:41 | Probably save some money and improve margins. Pumping water about usually uses a fair bit of electricity. | praipus
18/8/2008 19:34 | Industrial activity in the area has slowed markedly compared to last year. The overall effect is expected to be a reduction in revenue of approximately £350,000 on a full year basis. I didn't realise we HAD industrial activity! | scribbler101
07/8/2008 11:10 | Added 500 at £9.90, plus costs, earlier this week. Long term hold for the divi. z | zeppo
09/6/2008 16:16 | DVW is already among the dozen water stocks listed on the H2O thread But if anyone can think of other UK water stocks that ought to be added, please mention them there. | m.t.glass
04/6/2008 10:18 | For info: In the south east (River Thames catchment) the annual volume of water used (at the tap) will exceed the average annual rainfall by the year 2016 at current rate of increase of use. That does not include the proposed additonal housing planned for the area, but does not taking into account clamatic chamges in rainfall. Cheers john | one for the money
03/6/2008 20:48 | Even in the soft South, where I now live, we are no longer (as we were only two years ago)worried about the underground aquifers being low - the scenario of water shortage is currently some way off. The weather is unpredictable. Freak rainstorms occur anywhere. I am pleased with the divi increase and will personally be content for the company to stay independent. z | zeppo
03/6/2008 19:23 | Problem is we're too small for the big boys to bother with. At least from a financial point of view. But I wonder what the Dee/Ceiriog catchments may be worth in an era of scarcer water? I never worry about wasting water - the river is always full of it. | scribbler101
03/6/2008 19:11 | I think we're all just waiting for someone to come along and take us out! | jeffian
03/6/2008 16:18 | Usual active market - no shares traded at all! We must all be happy holders. | scribbler101
03/6/2008 07:17 | From today's Full Year Results: 'The substantial completion of the work at Boughton has resolved that potentially significant financial risk which was facing the Group and has allowed the Board to return to its progressive dividend policy. Accordingly, subject to approval at the Annual General Meeting, it is proposed to pay a final dividend for the year of 35.8 pence per ordinary share, making a total dividend for the year of 52.7 pence per ordinary share, an increase of 8.2%. The final dividend will be paid on 1 August 2008 to shareholders on the register at close of business on 4 July 2008.' z | zeppo
12/5/2008 17:06 | Results expected 3rd June. z | zeppo
24/1/2008 10:15 | Having held these on and off for quite a few years it seems to me just when you think its getting nasty or a bit boring you sell buy something else that goes down a lot. Then out of curiosity have a look to see what Dee Valleys doing and they've either gone up 25% or given 50% of the spare capital back as a special dividend....so just hold and add when cash allows IMHO. | praipus
24/1/2008 09:43 | I thought it was good for DVW? I think this share is so little traded that its price does not have much to do with fundamentals - or market trends. | scribbler101
24/1/2008 09:41 | Scribbler 101, Praipus No recovery since the OFWAT review was published. What was you view on this? Should the review agreement have had a negative effect on the share price? z | zeppo
24/1/2008 09:20 | My only red ink today - though not actually traded. | scribbler101
14/12/2007 14:24 | Really? I'll never get the hang of this market thing! 8-) | jeffian
14/12/2007 12:41 | Well; the one trade today was 1500 shares at 1036.127 I suspect the price will rise if anyone buys a large number. | scribbler101
14/12/2007 11:03 | Well, that's set the share price on fire! (NOT!) | jeffian
14/12/2007 10:58 | thanks hindsight - from a brief glance looks lke they got most they asked for - doubtless all they expected! | scribbler101
14/12/2007 10:53 | Yes so in theory we should see some share price recovery. | praipus
14/12/2007 10:53 | S101 - see Ofwat press release | hindsight_speculator |
