12/10/2006 09:53 | Nudging up - little by little. Back on 29th Oct 2004, opening this thread I asked if the £10.00 take-out estimate was correct. Has anyone a clue how to value this company? z | zeppo
04/10/2006 11:48 | LHG thank you for the link in post 76. Judging by ECWC's share price a few people must be taking their advice. | praipus
03/10/2006 16:47 | I've been thirsty. | scribbler101
03/10/2006 15:59 | High volume for DVW today. | lundhousegreen
03/10/2006 11:10 | Click on "newsletters" , then click on "equity insight". Mentions ECWC. | lundhousegreen
03/10/2006 10:28 | Thank you LHG (Yes sorry I forgot the Non voters) I'll take the water companies to sell on to private equity and the landbank to a real estate specialist aiming at doubling my money in two weeks:-) Good times. | praipus
02/10/2006 20:44 | Just under 1/2million non voters also to consider, but I'll accept your offer! | lundhousegreen
02/10/2006 20:38 | LHG why only £14? Enterprise value is £98 million / by 4.14 million shares your lookin gat closer to £24 + 30% over RAV = £34 never accept the first offer. Have you got any ECWC? 3.8% div yield isnt bad while waiting for a takeover. | praipus
02/10/2006 18:38 | I would personally hope if there was a bid tomorrow, I would expect 1350p to 1400p for the voting shares, including dividend.IMO, DYOR, etc. MCKS looking good Mon. night. LHG | lundhousegreen
02/10/2006 16:11 | lundhousegreen We certainly hope so. What would be the takeover valuation? This share has already done so well for us - can it be even higher for a takeover? z | zeppo
02/10/2006 13:33 | Nice move up on the back of an offer for AWG. DVW soon? | lundhousegreen
21/9/2006 15:46 | Thanks again. MCKS looks very good indeed...... couldnt find BME but thought you might be refering to Ecofin's (ECWC,ECW,ECWO)large | praipus
20/9/2006 16:10 | It was named on the MCKS board. (post 238) SM:BME | lundhousegreen
20/9/2006 15:36 | LHG thank you. Is the so called "overseas tip" subject to secrecy or can it be named here? | praipus
17/9/2006 08:33 | Praipus "The boys" are the brokers we both use, the overseas tip they gave us is the answer to the other query. LHG | lundhousegreen
14/9/2006 15:27 | Doing very nicely. I am annoyed that I did not top up after their last restructuring, as I had intended to. | scribbler101
14/9/2006 14:55 | lundhousegreen and zeppo, "our boys" and the "foreign one" please explain. Meanwhile good share price movement here. Would have expected ECWC to have jumped a little more with their exposure to SVT and PNN. Zeppo sold my MVK long ago and do not regret it at all. | praipus
14/9/2006 11:12 | I agree Zeppo. Making more from the boys' tips than the penny shares, patience needed with their tips, though, as they are slow plodders, but pays dividends in the end. (Pardon the pun!)JHD looking good for results next Friday? Been buying BLT on weakness as per Derek's advice. DVW up on the back of an approach to AWG. A private equity firm the probable for a takeout of DVW? Good investing. LHG | lundhousegreen
14/9/2006 10:53 | Lundhousegreen Got a modest stake in the foreign one at £20 sterling also a few Daejan, and Conygar with the proceeds from HDYS (which had more than doubled for me.) Good news 'On the Waterfront'. Brando himself could not have given better recommendations. Still nursing wounds on SEO and sweating on MVK - their Interims are due out about 24th Sept. No more spec. stocks for me. They might have well have 'sent the boys round' such is the damage the penny stocks have inflicted. It is better just to contact 'our boys' by phone, or e-mail. Good investing z | zeppo
09/8/2006 21:06 | The foreign one is €28-30 , so off a tad from the recommendation, but the Germans are eyeing it up, I am told. Have to keep them in their nominee account. Plenty of defensive stocks, there. Nice when the markets plummet & ours stay steady, or drop only slightly. :-)) LHG | lundhousegreen
09/8/2006 19:48 | lundhousegreen Managed access. Already got a little in the housing equity tip, as shown today. May look at the foreign one if it has not gone out of sight. How is it progressing? Currently waiting until late Sept. when De Vere, in which we have a tiny amount, and HDYS, are both paid out without charges. We may lose out, of course, by waiting. With the Middle East as it is the market may remain fragile. We are in DVW, UU., NWG and Kel. All but UU. were recommended by the boys. z | zeppo
06/8/2006 15:52 | lundhousegreen I agree on the safe investment policy. I will just see out the three speculative ones that I have. When we get some money back from HDYS next month it will go into something safe. I am having trouble loading the boys' website, even on my newer computer. I will try again next week. Are likely to go to the next James Halstead AGM? They are usually held in Bolton towards the end of the year. Or any other AGM? z | zeppo
03/8/2006 12:23 | Ian's tips are on the website, which I have all, including the foreign tip, but talking to him, there is nothing else new. The trouble with the takeovers is what quality stocks to replace them with. He still likes all the water shares, and the brewery ones that he's tipped. I've had enough of blue sky shares, and slowly depleting them from my portfolio as opportunities arise, and looking at more solid companies that pay a dividend. Good investing, Zeppo. LHG | lundhousegreen
03/8/2006 10:41 | lundhousegreen This is our biggest single shareholding so I am obviously pleased. The question still remains - if this is taken out, even at a further premium- where will we be advised to go next? Elsewhere I am suffering on Stanelco and in a high risk situation with MVK. MVK worryingly keep diluting our shares with placings at lower and lower prices. Last year the placings were at .25p this year they have done one at .2p and recently one at .15p. You cannot sell out of these in any quantity without getting an even lower price than indicated. A month ago the spread was .1p to sell and .2p to buy - vicious. Why do I like burning my fingers? Still good on the waterfront, however. We have little sloshing round in the beer barrels now with Hardy & Hanson being taken out. Why could we not have been offered shares in takeover brewery? z | zeppo |
