16/1/2007 12:44 | jeffian - add volume to that graph! | scribbler101
15/1/2007 16:57 | jeffian take a look at ECWC for utilities excitement but what ever you do dont sell all of the DVW IMHO. | praipus
15/1/2007 15:50 | Could someone get the defibrillator, please? The patient appears to be flatlining! | jeffian
01/12/2006 10:40 | Praipus Thanks for the info. I already get my asset-backed excitement elswhere than DVW ...and some are a bit TOO exciting for the blood pressure sometimes! :) Cheers john | one for the money
01/12/2006 10:34 | If you feel the need for some asset backed excitement take a look at ECWC or their largest holding quoted on euronext Sechilienne-Sidec PSECH IMHO. ECWC are raising more capital to buy some more utilities. PSECH is a wind farm business with rapidly growing income and shareholders clammering for control. Ecofin having recieved unsolicited approaches for their 24% stake! | praipus
01/12/2006 09:21 | Here! Here! | one for the money
01/12/2006 09:03 | Steady results - good divi maintained | one for the money
07/11/2006 11:05 | I note that today's sells are through Plusmarkets. | lundhousegreen
07/11/2006 00:00 | lhg - I think the next int rate move is largely discounted already. And 12.5p is not that much for such a high value share. With so few traded minor transactions look more siginificant. | scribbler101
06/11/2006 17:47 | Not taking many shares to knock DVW down. Down 12.5p on 500 traded. It could also be that if interest rates go up as expected Thurs., IMO this will have a negative effect on the share price as the dividend does not look as attractive? Still possibilities of corporate action here and in the sector, though. LHG | lundhousegreen
20/10/2006 18:04 | Our Dee Valley water went about 4pm and has not come back yet. Fortunately this happens often enough that we keep a strategic reserve. | scribbler101
20/10/2006 17:58 | agreed will go sooner than most imo | ivancampo
20/10/2006 17:29 | Only sell if you need the money IMHO. | praipus
20/10/2006 12:26 | sold a good part of mine at 1226 .. not sure how long the run will last .. thinking for shifting to KEL instead .. | v01101999
13/10/2006 17:29 | The price is still firm - so whatever amount this trust sold was taken up right away. z | zeppo
13/10/2006 16:15 | Take profit? | scribbler101
13/10/2006 13:21 | RNS Number:4477K Dee Valley Group PLC 13 October 2006 Dee Valley Group plc (the "Company") The Company received notification on 12 October 2006 that, following recent disposals, Small Companies Dividend Trust PLC no longer has a notifiable interest in the Company. Why are they selling ? | v01101999
12/10/2006 20:01 | Praipus Thank you! z | zeppo
12/10/2006 16:59 | zeppo In terms of where to go may I suggest taking a look at ECWC and UIL they seem to achieve in excess of 20-30% per annum without you even having to get out of bed! I've chased the portfolio with some interesting results which lead me to believe it is an easier life letting the professional's do the thinking. DVW is an exception of course (a prior Director of Dee Valley runs Utilico) in that the dividend and consistant increases in profit and asset value make the reason for buying compellling IMHO. | praipus
12/10/2006 15:58 | lundhousegreen Thank you. I have copied it into my financial update folder. I am just about at par with this - having come in at £20. sterling then added a few more at slightly below £20. I hope it goes ahead from here. z | zeppo
12/10/2006 10:23 | Praipus Thank you for your comments. I value the four water companies that I hold for their divis - which currently rise gradually each year. Presumably only the regulator could knock that in years to come. Any take-over premium for me has to be balanced against the problem of where do I invest next for safe growing divis. z | zeppo
12/10/2006 10:00 | The problem is some of the people bidding for these companies have no need to borrow money and only need miniscule returns, as long as it is cash generating inflation linked, capital growth capable and in a stable economic environment. So IMHO you could see an extraordinary premium go through. On the converse why sell when the dividend remains good, the customers are happy and continued capital growth is all but gauranteed. | praipus |
