Interesting tightening of spread due to shortage of stock?

Slight reduction in final dividend, but outlook ok. Have to wonder whether slight cut to final dividend is just a bit of a show of difficult times ahead of the Ofwat price review determination in July.

Scribbler101, in your capacity as a "(premium)" user of the venerable ADVFN service can you tell me if it includes live S&P 500 feed ticker "IN\X"?

The IN\X feed on the free ADVFN offering seems not to be alive until 2.30 when the US opens where as the CFD houses seem to offer in 24/7.

One of the CFD sites I use has the charts but not all the tech chart tools that ADVFN offers and I'm looking for a solution.

'gatto religioso' or 'gatto devoto' in Italian so working back from there you'd have 'gattus' but I can't intuit atm what religious would be. Interesting water co. BTW, which I hadn't heard of before. (NB: BTW is not a share ticker...)

Weve seen the Ofwat uncertainty affect before, which means the share price keeps trailing until the Ofwat determination announcement and then possibly any appeals etc, so possibly a good idea to sell now and buy on the determinsation.

However:

if there are any private equity houses or wealthy organisations left on te planet with cash to buy a water company between now and November is the time to do it. So dont close the long positions fully IMHO.

"Scriblbler101 could probably tell us what "religous cat" is in Latin, ....something like "cattus monastica " perhaps."

Latin too erudite for me. Try "pray puss".

Its becomming clear why companies only offer coffee at AGM's.

Scriblbler101 could probably tell us what "religous cat" is in Latin, ....something like "cattus monastica " perhaps.

May request a name change for accuracy purposes.

Anyone watching the potential arbitrage around ECWC (wind up for cash at NAV-2.5% or convert 31/1/2009 to ECWO)?

Less a fine upstanding example of manhood (that would be Priapus, surely?), more like a religious cat.

For a fine upstanding example of manhood like yourself, what could be better?

I do drink a fair amount, and I do have a tremor, but my doctor assures me they are not linked.

He says you can always detect alcoholics who type stuff because they miss our the "r"s.

They must have spent most of that on the main behind my house! Repaired it several times; installed a pressure limiter, then finally gave up and relined it!

From the RNS today "DEE VALLEY GROUP PLC

INTERIM MANAGEMENT STATEMENT

Dee Valley Group today publishes its interim management statement covering the
period from 1 October 2008 to date.

Since the publication of the interim results on 28 November 2008, the Group has
been affected by a number of adverse factors, none of which is material
individually but which in total are expected to amount to around GBP0.3 million
in the current year. The most significant factor is the additional cost incurred
in repairing burst water mains as the winter weather in the last few months has
been worse than expected.

Following the publication by Dee Valley Water of its Draft Business Plan in
August 2008, there has been a constructive dialogue with the Regulator, Ofwat.
Both parties now have a full understanding of the requirements for the Final
Business Plan, which is due to be submitted in early April 2009."
