Not sure about regan's background, but I take it he is not popular amongst shareholders recently??!!

Whats his previous reputation like in the city?

Regan certainly hasn't helped matters here by delaying the results until the last possible moment. Destroyed shareholder value in the short term. Still thinking about buying some, but may await the results now.

I commented over 12 months ago that I thought he might take CMM into CVS (or vice-versa ... I believe with current market prices, that looks more likely than ever. High risk, and potentially very high reward, I got a few more 100k at 2.1 over the last week.

good article in the telegraph(online)about margin calls with reference to MF.Global, looks like they need the cash as much as Regan?
as far as the share price of CVS,CMM, it looks to me that it could well suit Regan to sell these down for his future plans.
imho

company year end 30th sept, therefore under aim rules they have 6 months to release their results or get suspended.so final results by end of the month or suspension.last year they came out 26th feb...there has been no explanation why they are delayed...i'm sure it suits mr regan for some reason.
why should it take six months for a company like cvs to be able to produce results...with all their highly paid in house experts you would have thought they could add up the value of positions before now.

Thanks for comments guys - it is likely that there is an overhang of stock, which should hopefully be cleared in the next few weeks.

I take it results are out this week?

he may try to and would tarnish his reputation for ever IMO, but liklihood is he will hopefully be sensible and bid what he sees as low, but still material upside from here.......who knows where that true value could be....

Depends on what NEDs are like, with an MBO the NEDs and NOMAD have to state that the offer from managements is "fair" do they not??? IMO/DYOR etc.

i believe that both the companies have experienced substantial forced selling...the problem of not having any proper institutional support and investors being able to leverage on sub investment grade equity,up until now!
he may try to pull a fast one and try to take it out on the cheap or delist it out of the public gaze, but would meet some motivated opposition least of all by those who backed the £3m fundraiser last year at 12p.but since the equity is of no use as an aquisition currency to him [and the embarassment of the performance] he may well try to take it out of the public arena to regroup.
if he does try something i reckon accept an offer at 4-5p [derisory] or risk being a minority holder in a delisted company.i don't see any real risk buying them here unless there has been some sort of fraud, which i think is extremely unlikely.

bubface, what do you think is the likelihood of a delisting? It would be very naughty of Regan if he did this and would make him extremely unpopular.

Makes you wonder why cmm is falling too... although mf global have been selling lots recently.

Does anyone know anything about mf global?? Are they in trouble or something - hence the need to raise cash.........

off the cuff a bit here, think he would need 75% votes to delist...he wouldn't get it,though he could breach aim rules and lose the listing in due course,ie not publish results or have no nomad.secondly just because it was delisted doesn't mean he can steal the money...rules still apply ,though any deal could be somewhat derisory.think Regan would also have to consider what little reputation he has left...he has made most of his money as a small quoted company operator, blatantly stuffing his own shareholders would mean he can forget about any return as a shellmeister.... just a sheister.
hopefully next week will give us a clue.

Yes, could happen but recent comments were........"Recent sales by Corvus of stakes in Nanoscience and Zest Group increased concerns that Regan does need cash and could even sell out of Commoditrade. but a spokesman last night described all the rumours as "total rubbish", and added: "Corvus has seven years of cash on its balance sheet and is under no financial pressure whatsoever. The boys have just decided to had a go during the close season"

You put your money in, you take your chances! ;-)

dont want to pour scorn on your up-beat predictions, but if regan delists CVS you wont get a penny, they'll be NO buyout. he'll have worked out a cosy deal with the major shareholders and that means NOTHING for us.

Now the seller is out these will bounce back over the next few weeks. The seller only sold because of the year end and they are suffering their own problems, nothing to do with CVS. Seen it time and time again (bought 100,000 at 1.8p yesterday after following for a year). Had previously been in and out of CMM. Also look at the ratings on this site now, 8 recommended buyers to 1 seller, now that's a change!

I also bought at 1.895 yesterday (150,000). There has to be significant value here now. CVS still has great investments such as DTEC and CMM.

I was prepared to pay 26p for this share last year (sold at a modest loss soon after) so I couldn't resist at these levels. Obviously high risk but also high reward.

i got in at 2.09 100k. My broker was a buyer at 2.5 yesterday... and he has rarely let me down. Well worth a punt at these levels imho....

I've had a small punt as market cap to cash AND CMM stock now looks very attractive. Bet management try and pick it up for a song though....hoepfully with enough PIs in at this level, 10p will have to be the takeout price at least....IMO

"ah matt c not golfing weather is it!"

No Bub, Was going to play today but thought I'd keep in the warm and follow the market. Quite like these times of uncertainty having bought Regus & Corus in the past. CVS seems a decent punt at these levels; you've got to be in it to win it! ;-)

I have calculated that at present values CVS shares are worth 3p just on a CMM share valuation. Then you have all the other holdings.
